Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is it carry on size?

A: This case has Exterior Dimensions of 22.8 x 12.6 x 15.4 inches. Domestic Carry-On size is usually around 22 x 14 x 9 inches. This may be just a bit too large for carry-on.

Q: 2. Will a Nikon D500 with a 18-300 3.5-5.6G Ed Vr lens, Tokina 11-16mm and Nikon Sb910 flash fit in Lowepro Tahoe BP 150 backpack? Thank you...

A: Yes they will fit

Q: 3. I just noticed this does not have a waist strap. How necessary is it? This will be my first backpack, I will use it for some hiking, but more often for close-to-home photo outings.

A: If I get your question right, such straps were designed to distribute weight from your shoulders to your waiste: your camera, a couple of lenses, a tablet, 2 extra batteries and the backpack itself won't add up to 5kg. No need for a waiste strap for such a light load. If you have more questions, write again, happy to help.

Q: 4. Will a Canon 7D mark II with attached canon 100-400 lens fit in this without infringing on the top interior zippered pocket?

A: I have been able to sit my camera flat and lense attached to the body and not have any problems closing the bag. I didn't nor don't have any issues using the bag to this day. If you're able to get inside the store they do have some in Stock and will let you try it out with your own camera

Q: 5. Will this hold R5 with 100-500mm lens

A: Yes, you will be able to fit the R5, and a Canon RF 100-500mm f/4.5-7.1 L IS USM Lens

Q: 6. Saw on Kai W website. Does it hold DSLR with grip as well as lens and what max length of lens?

A: If you are referring to using/inserting a camera into the removable padded camera insert included with the Manhattan Portage Red Label Snapshot Camera Backpack, no, a camera with a built-in grip or an external battery grip would not be recommended for use with this case. I would recommend a lens with a maximum length of 5.5 inches to 6 inches (13.97 cm to 22.86 cm) maximum for use with this case and the padded camera insert.

Q: 7. Is the small zippered compartment on the top removable? If not, can you please measure the length of the space from the bottom of the compartment to the bottom of the bag?

A: Unfortunately the zippered compartment is not removable. The available space below the zippered compartment is 10 inches wide, 5 inches deep, and 10 inches tall.

Q: 8. Will this fit an R6 Mark II with the 800mm F11 attached?

A: No, the Ruggard Outrigger 45 Backpack (Black) is a touch to small to put the Canon R6 II with the 800mm f/11 lens attached in it.

Q: 9. Could this keep my gear warm while skiing?

A: Yes it does and it will do the job you want it to for skiing. However, there are other backpacks that would be better suited for you in regards to skiing. I have noticed with this bag that its a bit bulky so getting on and off chairlifts can be anoying because you have to take off and put on the back pack everytime ou get to a lift. Also, it can be a bit difficult to ski with at times, I noticed this more if I didn't have the strap size right, but it doesn't have a waist strap so it has a tendency to bounce a little more. Also every time you want to get your camera out of the bag you have to take it off and lay it in the snow which can be annoying.Overall this is a good backpack and it will do the job you want it to. However, there are other back packs that would be better suited for you, especially if you wanted one specifically for skiing. Id recommend a sling bag or one that has a wait and chest strap, and can be easily accessible and wont get in your way skiing.

Q: 10. Does the small zippered area at the top of the bag have enough room for a lightweight sweater or extra shirt? Thanks

A: The zippered accessory would likely not be large enough for a shirt.
