A: There are a number of ways you can control focus with the DJI RS3 Pro. Using the front dial on the gimbal would be the most popular way to control focus since it is an included feature with the RS3 Pro Gimbal. Rotating the front dial allows you to control zoom or focus. It can also be customized to control the camera's shutter, aperture, ISO, or gimbal movements, making it exceptionally convenient for single-handed operation.

A: Yes. You could definitely use the Vello Actionpan with a Canon 5D. It should be compatible with almost any camera. I just mounted my Canon 7D on mine to verify. You would not be able to view images through the viewfinder, but you would be able to see the LCD screen on the rear of the camera (although the back part of the grip could potentially hinder your view a bit). I typically use mine with a prosumer-grade Camcorder, where the LCD screen hinges out on the left side and can therefore be pivoted for easier viewing. This would also be true if you were to use a camera such as a Rebel T5i or 80D, both of which have an LCD screen that swivels.
