Designed for absolute dependability, the resin body is 5x more impact-resistant than the CFexpress Type A standard, and provides IP57 dust and water protection. Heat-dissipating materials also ensure consistent high-speed data transfers, along with resistance to X-rays, UV, and electrostatic radiation.

With a tough design, CFexpress Type A memory cards offer superior strength up to 10x greater than the CFexpress Type A standard, additional rigidity tested to 150 N of force, and can withstand falls of up to 24.6'.

You can rely on CFexpress Type A memory cards to work faultlessly in extreme temperatures, X-rays, electrostatic environments, and intense UV light. A dust and water-resistant design with an IP57 rating, provides the reliability needed for outdoor use in challenging conditions.

Even when things go wrong, you can avoid disaster with downloadable rescue software for Sony CFexpress Type A memory card customers. This free software can recover accidentally deleted files and corrupted photos and videos in today's common formats.

Over time, flash memory wears out and no longer reliably records data. Sony's Media Scan Utility automatically scans your CFexpress Type A memory card each time you connect it to your system, keeping you informed of its condition so you can take action before the limit is reached. The MRW-G2 card reader (sold separately) is required in order to scan Sony CFexpress Type A memory cards.

Q: 1. With the help of PlayMemories Home it is possible to import still images and movies to your computer directly from the camera and use them in different ways. You must install PlayMemories Home to be able to import XAVC S movies and AVCHD movies to your computer or?

A: Well PlayMemories Home is discontinued. They've revamped that software and rebranded it as Imaging Edge Desktop / Mobile. You don't need Imaging edge to transfer stills/video directly from the camera if you're using the USB cable. XAVC S is an MP4 so it should playback fine on windows or mac. AVCHD you might have more trouble with if you're using Mac. It's also inferior in quality so I honestly wouldn't use all together. Hopefully this helps!

But you can't spend enough on peace of mind. These cards are well constructed and won't drop frames. Hopefully third-party will come out down the line to drive the cost down or increase the storage size.

Very fast, works well. USB-C on the card reader which I like more than USB plug ins. The sony cards are fast (I used FX3 and A1) but I still use mostly fast pro grade 256 GB cards because they store more and are cheaper. Not as fast, but do the job and just don't cost a ridiculous price - these are just too expensive

Very happy Sony incorporated the faster CF Express cards in the new A1. Frankly it would have been an almost unusable camera without this speed for me.

Destined for the SONY alpha 1, these cards are superb. There is a dedicated slightly narrower section in each of the two battery slots on the a1 for this card. Does it work? Yup! Like lightning. The a1 processes images super fast and this 80GB TOUGH card gobbles them as fast as they arrive. Popped into the SONY card reader which is available from B&H (Sony MRW-G2 CFexpress Type A/SD Memory Card reader) this card delivers superb speeds. I have four for my a1 - rather than the 160GB version - because I'm wary of losing 160GB if it gets lost or corrupted. I rather lose only 80GB. But I'm not gonna do that. I hope.

I love the speed and build quality of the Sony Tough memory cards. I own the SD versions for my Sony A7RIV so I knew I would eat the CFexpress Type A cards for my Sony FX3. The card reader is also very nice.

Really fast card, keeps up with the Sony A1 camera. So far nobuffering problem. Feels very sturdy. High price and limited storage space a bit of a problem.
