Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I'm fairly tall. How high is the pull handle from the floor when it is fully extended?

A: I'm 5'10 and fully extended the handle is waist high. I have no problems wheeling it around!

Q: 2. Am i able to purchase the lid insert seperately as i already own the 1510 w/ foam?

A: Unfortunately the lid insert is not currently sold separately.

Q: 3. Does the case still have the same loud wheels?

A: The Pelican 1510SC Studio Case with Lid Organizer and Yellow Divider Set (Black) come with wheels made of strong polyurethane with stainless steel bearings for smooth traction and works well as any carry-on case with wheels.

Q: 4. can I use this to transport a self inflatable life vest on a chopper?

A: This would likely depend on what, if any, restrictions the helicopter had about luggage (available space), and the size of the vest not only before it is inflated, but also after. Other than that, I cannot see any issues with using a pelican case to transport a self inflatable life vest in a helicopter.

Q: 5. Would a Macbook Pro 15.4" fit in the laptop pouch?

A: No, the laptop pouch is limited to 15 inches.

Q: 6. Which cases will hold a mac laptop?

A: This case will hold up to a 15 MacBook Laptop just fine. It would not fit a 17 though.

Q: 7. How many cubic feet is this case? I recently purchased the silica gel to protect against humidity, and the instructions say that the gel will protect three cubic feet. Any math wizards out there?

A: There are free converters on-line. Personally I would not worry about it . . . . . if you feel you need more silica gel packs they can be had for free at a variety of places like Wal Mart when the night shift is stocking . . . . . or just look around and toss a couple of extra ones in the case.

Q: 8. Wondering if my MacBook Pro 15 retina will be VERY secure in this top lid insert? Also if your body is sitting up, will it put pressure on the laptop when the lid is closed? Lastly what about the power supply will it fit in the second pouch up top?

A: Yes this model will fit your MacBook Pro 15 Retina Display Model in securely. It should not put too much pressure on the DSLR. It depends on what DSLR you have too. Regarding the Power Supply I would need to know what Power Supply would be put in the top pouch. It fits most standard DSLR Chargers if that is what you are referring to. However if it's a different type of Supply I would need to know what model it is.

Q: 9. Can this fit 2 lightstands and umbrellas in addition to cameras and lenses?

A: Doubtful. I use it for a 15 laptop and accoutrements along with a few drives, Cables a set of walkies and a few odds n sods for my DIT kit.

Q: 10. Will it hold a MAC Pro tower?

A: Hi,I do not have the dimensions of the Mac Pro Tower in mind (it should be easy to check and compare with inner dimensions of the case) but at first glance I would say no. This (wonderful) case is cabin-size and I would guess the tower is similar to a PC desktop tower. In any cases I strongly recommend the case to carry fragile / high-tech gear. As a carry-on luggage, be careful with the weight of the basic model as it is quite heavy (there is a recent lighter version).Hope it helps.Marc
