A: I rather doubt it. These brackets are made to fit specific models only. The shape and the cutouts are to accommodate the various flaps and doors. While I dont specifically know if this will work on the 3Ti when I upgraded my 6D to the 6DMK2 I had to get a new bracket because they wouldnt interchange.

A: I don't see how that is possible. I have a black rapid strap I'm unable to use with the bracket also attached to the camera body. However, I've learned that BOSStrap has a similar strap that attaches to one of the body lugs, rather than the tripod socket. BOSStrap also offers a simple adapter to attach to a tripod strap to convert it to a lug mounted strap.
