With the Radial Engineering BT-Pro V2, you can stream audio from smartphones, tablets, and mobile devices to professional audio playback systems over Bluetooth. This is a DI box that accepts Bluetooth at the input, and outputs to two XLR connections for stereo signal, or one 3.5mm TRS termination for headphones.

The unit has been constructed for durability in its hardware, and for fidelity in its audio path. Its outer shell is fashioned out of 14-gauge steel. Its reception range is bolstered up to 100' thanks to a plastic injection-molded insert, which enables wireless audio to pass through unencumbered.

A level control is present at the XLR balanced outs for volume adjustments. You can switch the unit into mono if need be. A power supply is included, but you can also power the BT-Pro V2 via 48V phantom power from mixers and PAs, making the included PSU a redundant backup system.

  • With 48V phantom power, the BT-Pro V2 provides mic-level signals at the XLR outputs
  • When the external power supply is used, it is capable of generating line-level signals that can be connected to the line inputs of a PA console and avoid using additional mic-level channels.
  • Each individual BT-Pro V2 has a unique Bluetooth identifier, allowing multiple units to be successfully used in close proximity to one another. This makes it easy for commercial multiroom facilities to employ a number of units without any confusion when trying to connect to a receiver in a specific part of the building.
  • Power the unit via its USB-C input and the included power supply.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What is the best way to connect R-S202 to Pioneer FS52 Floor Standing Speakers, using regular wiring or bi-wiring?

A: The choice and preference is totally up o you. Proponents of the practice point to the obvious sonic benefits they can hear after bi-wiring their speakers, citing the fact that speaker manufacturers make the terminals available, as proof that there must be something in it. Detractors argue that manufacturers are merely maximising the marketability of their products by offering a feature that costs little extra to implement but probably doesn’t make any sonic difference. They also point out that there is no real published evidence to prove that the practice makes any audible difference, whereas the bi-wire enthusiasts theorise that by separating the high and low frequencies into different wires, distortions caused by interactions between them can be eliminated.

Q: 2. Does the Line in connections work with a Bose Series 4 Equalizer? Mine doesn't. I think my equalizer might be bad. My old receiver failed that had tape in out connections.

A: In the traditional receiver there is a tape monitor feature allowing an equalizer to be connected to the input and output RCA connectors. You would then use the equalizer to connect your tape deck. This receiver has no provision for this traditional equalizer circuit. There are three lines available...DVD player, CD recorder, and tape deck...there is no tape monitor button or selector. Only one source is available at a time. I would suggest that you look for a receiver which has a tape monitor button as well as inputs and outputs utilizing the RCA jack feature.

Q: 3. what is the warranty?

A: This will come with a Limited 2-Year Warranty from the manufacturer.

Q: 4. Is the 100W RMS or peak?

A: That would be RMS. The Yamaha R-S202 can deliver 100 W per channel continuous power at 8 Ohms.

Q: 5. will this unit transmit audio to bluetooth speakers?

A: No it doesn't

Q: 6. Can I hook a pre amp to this?

A: Yes, you can connect the pre-amp to one of its Line-in connections. I am currently using a turntable with a built-in pre-amp to a Line-in connection, works great.

Q: 7. Will this unit work with Bluetooth headphones?

A: This component's bluetooth is for receiving only and it cannot transmit to wireless bluetooth headphones.

Q: 8. Can I use 4 ohm speakers into this receiver?

A: Yes, you can connect speakers of any impedance to to this receiver. With that being said, the performance of this amplifier will vary depending on the power requirements of the speakers and the volume you are trying to play at. The lower the impedance of the speaker the greater the wattage output of the receiver could be. As with any receiver, volume should never be run so high that you experience distortion in the speakers; this would indicate the amplifier is too powerful for your speakers. If you are experiencing clean sound, but the amplifier is overheating and shutting itself off, you are running the receiver too "hot" (volume too high to accommodate for sudden spikes like a cymbal crash or thunder) and would need a receiver with more watts per channel.

Q: 9. Can I connect speakers to this ES202 then to my TV?

A: You mean R-S202 ? Please detail what you want. Are speakers not loud enough?

Q: 10. In which country is this amp manufactured?

A: It is manufactured in Japan.
