Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this film work with an auto zoom 814?

A: No this film will not work in your camera.

Q: 2. I heard from someone that this background is opaque. I also read on your site that there is no need to relight the background, leading me to believe that the lighting from behind it will light it evenly and sufficiently. Please shed light on this contradiction...?

A: The HiLite Bottletop Cover is a cover that fits over the Hilite and is not translucent. Lastolites site recommends to not light it from behind so front lighting will be needed.

Q: 3. Will this format fit my Krasngorsk K3, serial number 87******? Technically, it should fit, but I'm not sure if the perforations are at least a little bit different in terms of distance between them and size of the perforation itself?

A: It will not fit. The K3 is a 16mm camera. Double Super 8 has different perforations. They are smaller and more numerous that 16mm.

Q: 4. To shoot the second time in the film the first time has to be erased? Should I change de position of the film or something?

A: Before shooting, you have to physically thread the film in the camera, though the film gate, from one film spool to the other. You then shoot one half of the width of the film. When you reach the end of the spool, you must go to very dark room, rethread it again and shoot the other and unused side of the film. There is no erasing with film

Q: 5. Does anyone use this speed ring successfully with the Profoto RFI 3x4' softbox?

A: The impact speed ring will work with the Profoto RFI softbox.

Q: 6. Will this format fit my Brownie Movie Camera F/2.7 Lens Model 2?

A: It probably will not-Double Super8 was a fairly rare format and I don't believe Brownie made any DS8 cameras. This filmstock was especially funky, as it came on a reel that didn't fit my DS8 Canon Scoopic and I was required to spool the film onto a more standard 100' daylight reel in a darkroom.Hope this helps

Q: 7. Are there any know softbox brands that this speedring does NOT work with? i.e. That the receiving holes are too small for the end of the rib/poles?

A: From our experience, softboxes like the Profoto RFi series would have trouble inserting into this speed ring.

Q: 8. Does this work to use in an Paul buff Octabox and a B1 light?

A: As long as it's traditional octabox with a removeable speedring, yes.

Q: 9. Will this ring fit the Profoto B10 ?

A: This ring will work with a B10.

Q: 10. Would this fit an Octagon from Impact on my Profoto strobe head?http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/889690-REG/impact_lb_od_l_luxbanx_duo_large_octagonal.html

A: Yes, the Photoflex Speed Ring for Profoto, B&H # PHSRODPF, would allow you to attach the Impact Luxbanx Duo Large Octagonal Softbox (84 ), B&H # IMLBODL, onto Profoto strobe heads.
