A: It partly depends on the mic you're using, partly on the room itself. Basically, a half-moon buffer of foam behind the mic, something sound dampening on your desk, and a kind of tent of a rug or blanket over your head and behind you should do nicely.

Q: 5. does this arm allow for a cable to run through it if it's custom made and thin ?

A: No, the PSA1 is not designed to accommodate an internal cable. The cable attaches to the arm externally using the included touch fastener straps.

Q: 6. Is there a longer stud that I can use more comfortably with my Shure SM7b?

A: Rode does not make a stud extension for the PSA1 Studio Boom Arm, but there is a washer on the arm to lock microphones in place.

Q: 7. Will this work with the Polsen RC 77 U?

A: Yes. This arm will hold a Polson RC 77U.
