This DVR supports HD-CVI, HD-TVI, AHD, and CVBS signals from up to four cameras. It has a 10TB maximum HDD storage capacity (1TB preinstalled). Space-saving H.265+, H.265, H.264+, and H.264 video codecs reduce bandwidth requirements for efficient data storage while maintaining the best quality possible.

The included turret cameras transmit 1920 x 1080 resolution video at 30 fps. They are each equipped with a 2.8mm fixed lens that delivers a 103° horizontal field of view. The cameras are IP66 rated for safe outdoor use.

A: No, this is too large, it would not fit inside of a laptop. You would need a 2.5 hardrive, this one is a 3.5 . Small 2.5 solid state drives would also work, such as a samsung 850 evo.

A: You need to use 2 or more of the same drives to configure a software (OS striping) or hardware (controller on mb or raid controller card) RAID. A: yes but you may not get full thruput/speed or full capacity

A: The drives that shipped with that computer had a proprietary firmware, and connection for a thermal sensor. Short of purchasing a drive from Apple, you will need to purchase a third party utility to slow the fans down with the non Apple drive.

A: WD will not honor the warranty of OEM drives. I am just learning this the hard way with 5 WD Red drives that I bought from B&H less than 2 years ago. Strangely, the listing and my receipt do not say that they are OEM but WD does. I was only trying to register them online a month ago, not having a problem. B&H ought to be a little more forthcoming about this.
