Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this support 1920x1080 resolution at 120fps on the C300 mk3 ?

A: The EVF has a maximum refresh rate of 60p. This does not affect your ability to record or view footage that is 1920x1080 at 120fps. The camera processes so that the image can be displayed properly on the EVF.

Q: 2. Does this rig include the electronic cable that connects the camera body with the Canon hand grip?

A: Yes this product will come with the cable to connect the trigger grip to the camera.

Q: 3. What does "anamorphic lens support", mean? Is it just a monitor de-squeeze, or does it actually shoot a 4:3 frame?

A: It is a de-squeeze for monitors.

Q: 4. What accessory is needed to attach this to a Canon C300 mk3? (Please don't say the CL-V2 clamp, because it is for the C200)

A: The same Canon CL-V2 Clamp Base for EVF-V70 will work on the C300 Mk3 as well.

Q: 5. Does the "false color" function work with the C200? Based on my research so far, it seems the answer is no - it seems like false color needs to be supported by the camera firmware (C700, C500 Mk II, C300 Mk II/III) itself.

A: I would also say the answer is no. According to the Canon website, this EVF is not combatable with the C200.

Q: 6. What's most different between this & the mark 2 ?

A: the biggest differences are the sensor resolution and dual grain structure on the 2 camera. the c300mIII is also a new body type. it's essentially the same body as the c500Mii

Q: 7. Thanks for your previous answer and recommendation. Further more, when shooting XF-AVC 10 bit 4K, for how long can I shoot on a 128 Gb card?

A: That all depends on the setting. If you are recording at 160 Mbps, you'd get around 105 minutes on a 128GB. If you are shooting at 800 Mbps you'd get closer to 20 minutes on a 128GB.

Q: 8. So the C200 shoots 12-bit raw and this camera only does 10-bit raw?

A: Both the Canon EOS C200 Cinema Camera and the Canon EOS C300 Mark III Digital Cinema Camera Body (EF Lens Mount can record in Cinema RAW Light 12-Bit.

Q: 9. Would this work for the c200?

A: Sorry, no. This is for the C700 only.

Q: 10. While shooting 4k RAW on the Canon C300 Mark iii, how long can I shoot on a 128 Gb card? I shoot documentaries so I want to know how many cards to buy.

A: RAW at 1Gbps will get you around 16 minutes on a 128GB Card. Page 231 of the User Manual goes over the recording times. https://bhpho.to/33RILYA

This is a great little camera to throw in my purse and run around town. I like that it's lightweight and easy to use. It's also fun for selfies! I am not a serious Vlogger, but I do love the things you can do with this point and shoot. The touch screen is fun but tricky if you are trying not to take a photo. LOL. It's so easy to transfer images to my phone. And since I'm a Canon girl, I already knew the basics of how this one works.

Not only is this camera amazing, but the experience purchasing from B&H was incredible! My order shipped out the day after I placed the order, and was on my door step the very next day. I was skeptical ordering from here rather than the Canon website, but am actually glad I ordered from here rather than Canon based on the free expedited shipping. I would absolutely order from here again if I needed to.
