The On-Stage SNK20450v2 is a 20x4 snake designed for use in live applications. It sports a fan-out at one end, a stagebox at the other, and 50' of cable in between. A: In answer to the question, its somewhat less what the maximum weight capacity is in this case, and more about stability. Although the tripod kit will probably hold the load (based on the max limit), that is with a load applied at the tripod center (ie. its center of gravity). Using a job, the load will be applie to the extremeties (much like a see-saw) which could lead to an unstable situation. My advise is to use a much heavier-duty tripod for assurance, and be sure to use sand bags, or another stabilization method to make sure you do not loose control of the jib.
