The 82mm Round Wolverine Magnetic Kit from Kase features three magnetic 82mm filters, a 82mm magnetic adapter that supports the filters, and a 82mm magnetic lens cap, which attaches to the front of the filters. The kit also comes with a stylish multi-filter case.

Q: 4. Is there a way to have each sequenced frame separately (as in 3,600 jpg files or so) instead of butchering the super 8mm original cinematics with a tragic 30 fps mp4 file? What would happen if I turn off the machine before it renders each separate frame into, again, this sadistic, merciless, and just plain cruel 30 fps mp4 file? Is that possible? Is that at all how it works? Anyone tried this?

A: It records only in the 30 FPS MP4 format. It is possible to capture a single frame in your editing program.

Q: 5. Is the case made by Pelican , and is is lockable , also is there any way to lock the zippers on the travel soft bag? There are 4 cut outs for lenses. Are there more Loxia lenses to be released ? Are the Loxia lenses sharper than Batis lenses ? I have all three Batis, and would like a case for these as well. A: Unfortunately, Zeiss does not indicate the manufacturer of the Zeiss Loxia Transport Case/Bag. The hard case does have holes for use with a standard TSA padlock. Your question concerning lens image quality is not quite balanced as the Loxia lenses and Batis lenses do not come in similar/equal focal lengths. The closest option would be the Zeiss Batis 25mm f/2 lens and the Zeiss Loxia 21mm f/2.8 lens. BOth lenses have nearly similar performance, though the Loxia lens is slightly sharper compared to the Batis lens, though the Batis lens is both brighter and has slightly better vignetting control. We only have access to information that has currently been released by Zeiss or announced in press releases. At this time, we do not have any information regarding newer Loxia lenses to be released or a case specifically designed for the Batis lenses.

Q: 6. Can I make a film transfer with open gate (in other words transfer the entire width of the film as to see the sprocket holes)?

A: My wife sent me a video of the device in action while I was at work. From what I could see it uses the sprocket holes to pull the film frame by frame into the scanner. The finished video didn't have any sprocket holes.

A: According to Wolverine, they state that the playback speed is 30 frames per second. With film recorded at 24 frames per second, you will not see a huge difference. With film recorded at 16 frames per second, you may use most any video player or editing software to slow down the playback speed. Wolverine states there should be no need to have to stop the scanning to adjust the white balance.

Q: 8. I have some 8mm films that have sprocket holes on both sides of the film. The film is 15 - 16mmm wide. Will this work with these films?

A: No. If the film is 16mm wide, it's 16mm film, not 8mm film. This device will only digitize 8mm film and Super 8mm film. Super 8mm film is the same width as 8mm film, but has a slightly larger image size on the same width film.
