Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Are the plastic parts of this strap resistant? Can't you break and drop my camera to the ground?

A: The plastic parts are extremely strong and can easily carry the weight of your camera. The quick disconnects have been tested with a tensile strength of over 148lbs .... not that we'd ever recommend that, but it goes to show the strength of our hardware used in the strap. Some plastics are considerably stronger than some metals. They've improved tremendously over the years. I noticed the community comment concerning the Canon CPS Strap. We also manufacture that strap and it's very strong and comfortable. It uses the same pad that is in our Utility Strap Series. I hope that this information is helpful. Cheers!

Q: 2. Will it attach to a Ricoh11 and Ricoh 111?

A: It should. Looking at the photos of the Ricoh11 I see strap eyelets. The OP/Tech strap attaches using a pair of loop connectors (they're a heavy string) that should fit the Ricoh's eyelets. I use this strap to carry a heavy SLR, and I like it enough that when I wore out my first one I replaced it with a second one.

Q: 3. will this be ok for a Leica M6 or M3 body?

A: Hi! I agree with previous comments, this is more for heavy things. But check out the OP TECH Super Classic Strap - Pro Loop instead. I use this for my binoculars, and it fits well with lighter equipment. I am not familiar with Leica M3 or M6, but from pictures I have looked upon, it seems the fixation points for the strap may have quite small holes. You may need to put some small key-chain rings of appropriate size into the fixed attachment points on the camera body, before attaching the pro-loop. But anyhow, the OP TECH straps are the best I have ever found out there, and my first strap for an heavy Photo Bag, is still in use after more than 10 years. I nowadays use them on all photoequipment and binoculars, it is just to find the right model. Good luck and I hope you find the one that suits your need.

Q: 4. Will this work with the Panasonic Lumix DXC-GX85 Camera?

A: Yes, the OP/TECH USA Pro Loop Strap, available in many colors, will work well with the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GX85. This includes the wine red color you asked about (B&H# OPSPLW), as well as black (BH# OPSPLB), gray (B&H# OPSPLST), navy blue (B&H# OPSPLN), and so on.

Q: 5. Will this fit my Steiner Military/Marine 10X50 binoculars?

A: I was unable to find anything showing how big the connection area is on your binoculars but if it will accommodate a 3/8" webbing, then this strap would be an excellent choice.

Q: 6. I saw that the outer cover layers are glued to the foam rather than stitched (and the foam edges are exposed). Wouldn't it be an issue over time? Start peeling off?

A: These straps hold up well overtime, it is possible that it can become separated but that has not been a known issue.

Q: 7. I am purchasing a Panasonic ZS100. Would this be a good strap for the camera?

A: Yes, you can use split rings to connect OP/TECH USA Pro Loop Strap with the Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS100 Digital Camera. Please open the following link if you need this accessory. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1437716-REG/ruggard_tsr_2pk_split_triangle_d_ring_twin.html

Q: 8. How does this one compares to the Tamrac N25? I have a 20yo N25 which is great but need a second one and is discontinued, any replacements?

A: This strap is a little thicker and stretches more. It should be more comfortable, especially with heavier equipment.

Q: 9. Would this work well with a Nikon D5500?

A: The Pro Loop Strap is a great option for the Nikon D5500. The loop attachments are very secure and the pad is designed to absorb the jolts of your movements while conforming to your neck and shoulders to effectively disburse the weight of your camera. Be sure to connect the male connector to the right side of your camera. This way the curve of the pad will be in the correct position. Thanks for considering our products.

Q: 10. Will this work out of the box with a Pentax K3?

A: Yes, this strap will be compatible out of the box with a Pentax K3.

The strap is very light, strong, and comfortable. It's also inexpensive and works well with the Dual Harness that I also have from Op/Tech. I'm very happy with these.

Stock Canon straps lack quick disconnects. I wear my camera three ways: neck, Spider clip holster and shoulder sling slide strap. This neck strap allows me to disconnect the foam part and then snap together the shorter remaining bits to form a safety strap for the other carry methods. This is surely not unique to this strap. I chose this one because of prior experience. My old version is still in service on my older camera. Now I carry just one of the neck parts to share between the two bodies. The strap is tough and comfortable.
