This battery allows accurate metering on my Minolta SRT MCII. Alkaline or Silver Oxide batteries do not supply the correct voltage for accurate metering as the camera was designed to use mercury batteries which are no longer manufactured for environmental reasons. There are few other options (modifications to the camera meter circuit or expensive compensated adaptors) so this is my go-to solution. 5

Knowing Zinc Air mostly from hearing aids I was concerned they would last only hours after pulling off the air opening tab. I have those cells now in three Braun Nizo Super 8 cameras as metering battery and they all show still the correct voltage at the meter battery test after three weeks. Films returned from the lab showed good exposure. That is way long enough for a film project using those old cameras. And it is environmental friendly. 5
