Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this fit Lumix DC-ZS80?

A: A more suitable strap is the OP/TECH USA Mirrorless Strap with Mini QD Connectors (Black), B&H # OPMLSTB. https://bhpho.to/3aYvrob

Q: 2. Can you use this strap with a Panasonic ZS100?

A: If you have the strap adaptor included in the box with the camera you can attach OP/TECH USA E-Z Comfort Strap. If you no longer have this accessory you can use Split D-Ring (Pair).

Q: 3. Does it really say Op/Tech USA in big letters on the visible side, or is this just for the ads? I think I would love this if that weren't so visible.

A: Yup, fairly visible company lettering but then, made in the USA, inexpensive so why not support them by giving a little promo since they're charging so little for these. Most photogs will know Op-tech anyhow. We US consumers are a difficult bunch to accommodate: either it's too expensive, or we're unhappy about "advertising" for a small company, or any other host of complaints. One customer suggested using a "magic marker" to black out the lettering. While I don't know what a magic marker is, a felt-tip/flow permanent marker will also work if supporting those U.S. jobs bothers you that much.

Q: 4. I have a Fuji gsw690ii camera. Will this fit?

A: Yes, the OP/TECH USA E-Z Comfort Strap (Black) will fit the Fuji GSW690II camera.

Q: 5. Is this strap waterproof?

A: While I haven't tried it in very wet conditions, I would say no, based on the material it is made of. The cushioning portion of the strap is a kind of spongy, slightly stretchy material that looks like it would absorb water, and over repeated soaking might tend to disintegrate.

Q: 6. Are the connections with plastic loop connectors? Is it resistant? Can you break the clasp and release the camera?

A: The loops are actually made with 1/4" tubular nylon webbing so that it's extremely strong and durable while still being flexible and easy to use. The quick release buckles are extremely strong and are tested at over 145 lbs. They can be removed from the main body of the strap by squeezing both sides of the buckle at the same time. This is ideal when doing tripod work and you don't want the entire strap hanging from the tripod. I hope that this information is helpful. Cheers!

Q: 7. Will this strap fit a canon g5x mark II. Does it need any other hardware for where clips on?

A: The E-Z Comfort Strap is one that is recommended for your camera. It attaches with 3/8" webbing; as long as the connection points on the camera will accommodate the 3/8" webbing, you will not need anything else. If the connection points are smaller, you may want to attach small split rings to the camera.

Q: 8. Can I use on Canon R7 ?

A: Yes you can use this strap with the Canon R7.

Q: 9. Why only 7lbs? Will an 8lb camera break it?

A: An 8lb camera should be fine.

Q: 10. Years ago I used these but with one problem. They stained my t-shirts in hot weather. Is this still a problem?

A: I put mini-carabiner clips on the strap so I can remove it easily, and can also use it on different cameras, as desired.

I've used OP/TECH camera straps for many years of constant usage. The Straps come with many options for customization, are comfortable after several hours supporting some pretty heavy camera/lense combinations in the field. Durable and very well made. Highly recommended.

I have had one of these straps for along time but I needed to renew as it was looking a little worse for wear. Having looked on various Uk website I could not find the colour I wanted. Having spotting them on this website I ordered the one I wanted it arrived very swiftly and I am very satisfied with this company and very satisfied with the strap hopefully it will last as long as my previous one

I have used Op/Tech straps professionally ever since they came out. They last forever, are strong, versatile, and comfortable. I especially appreciate that the cushioned strap quickly detaches from the loops, keeping it out of the way when the camera is tripod mounted, and providing a handle to carry just the camera. Highly recommended.

Works very well for me, stays on my shoulder. I previously used a Canon strap, it constantly slid off my shoulder, this strap solved that problem at a reasonable price.

This is my second OP/TECH camera strap. The first one was used for years of summit hiking in New Hampshire. Easy on my neck and very tough. Highly recommended for rugged use.
