I took the X100f to Paris over the Summer and found it to be one of the most enjoyable cameras for street and travel photography I've ever used. So I bought the X100V and I use it on news and magazine assignments for my work with the same amount of pleasure I had in Paris.


I like limitations; so the one equivalent 35mm lens works for me and it offers what feels like endless options for great images. I've deactivated most of the electronic buttons except one for an auto focus lock and use it mostly like the beautiful manual viewfinder camera it is. The shutter speed dial is perfect and when I see light shift around me a couple stops I can dial it down without looking and be ready for another shot. It's an old technology the shutter speed dial but I find it's still the best way to make the adjustment without looking at the camera.


What more can I say other than if you love images more than you love carrying a lot of lens or big cameras, then this camera is for you.

I've been disappointed in the iphone 13 pro when trying to get good pictures on hikes; but I also don't want to lug my canon mirrorless. This is the perfect in-between and light enough to have on you at all times- and the IQ is great!

Admittedly, the features of this camera were the main reason why I chose this over any other cameras. Truly love the film simulation and recipes. I am always tinkering with new recipes, shout out to FujiWeekly!
Honestly, if you are looking for a camera that gives you great images, color science, and the versatile of recipes then do not look any further than the x100v.
I could not be any happier!

Don't get me wrong but on some outings, I still carry my Nikon D850 with lenses like the 70-200 2.8. In fact I plan to bring my D850 for up coming trips to Antartica and Africa (safari). But for 95% of my other international travels, my Fujifilm x100v provides beautiful pictures that as just as good as the ones I get out of a full frame SLR without the bulk. Oh and did I mention the impressive Fuji film simulations? I used to shoot extensively with both Provia and Velvia so it's nice to be able to replicate those colors on the fly. But I also shoot RAW and process most of my pictures in Lightroom and doing it that way allows pictures out of the x100v to rival those from my Nikon D850.

This camera has changed how I shoot photos, it's simply a go-to option anytime I step out of the house. The quality, accessibility, and power it produces are unmatched. Great job Fujifilm!
