Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can filters be screwed on the the lens?

A: They cannot. You can not screw filters to this camera's lens.

Q: 2. How do I set this up to control 2 AviPas 1081 PTZ cameras? Where do I find the appropriate cables?

A: AV-1081 only has one RS-232 interface. Using AV-3104 to control two AV-1081, you will need to add a "Y splitter" or a "RS232 port expander". Usually if a you want to use AV-3104 to control multiple cameras, we will suggest AV-1281 and the end camera can be an AV-1081. That would allow them to daisy chain the cameras. But then a special VISCA cable will be required between cameras.

Q: 3. Are you able to control or adjust the Pan speed? It is fast and looks mechanical when controlled by the remote.

A: Yes, the pan speed can be adjusted by twisting the "PTZ Speed" knob on the keyboard of the AViPAS AV-3104IP 4D Joystick PTZ Controller.

Q: 4. Does this have auto-tracking of subjects or faces?

A: No auto-tracking feature is currently published by the manufacturer, but because this camera's firmware is easily upgraded via its IP, there may be some future firmware addendums along the way, which may address subject/face tracking.

Q: 5. Does this work with the Datavideo ptc 150 ptz cameras?

A: Yes. The following unit offers RS-232/422/485 communication.

Q: 6. What is the maximum distance when filming 1920 X 1080P?

A: For maximum distance, if you mean the maximum distance that a SDI cable can support at 1080p, that would be about 100 meters (or about 330 feet).

Q: 7. Is 60fps the only frame rate available? Currently we're running all our cameras at 25fps

A: The AViPAS AV-1082G can be set to 5-30 fps.

Q: 8. Is the H.264 video signal over ethernet compatible with Blackmagic Switchers? How about Newtek? Trying to get a switcher that works with this new tech!

A: Bringing in an IP Signal from a camera is something that is normally done with Software Based Switching Products such as vMix and Wirecast. We have some pre-configured options from both companies that you could look in to. https://bhpho.to/2F72gyAhttps://bhpho.to/2kPYog8

Q: 9. Is the 4K signal only available on the HDMI output or is there a way to combine the two 3G BNC outputs to form a single 6G output so I can connect it to the Blackmagic 4K Switcher?

A: Using the two 3G-SDI outputs you can get a 4K signal. You would need a product like the AJA 12GM 12G-SDI to/from SDI Muxer/DeMuxer which will allow you to turn Dual 3G-SDI in to a 6G-SDI. Or you can consider a 4K HDMI to 6G-SDI converter. AJA SDI Muxer - https://bhpho.to/2K9BU3T BMD - 4K HMDI to SDI - https://bhpho.to/2rvHgjq

Q: 10. Will this control a Panasonic AW-HE60S?

A: Panasonic recommends use of a AW-RP50E controller for IP control of the AW-HE60S camera. Although 3rd party IP controllers may be able to communicate with IP controllable PTZ cameras, the Panasonic controllers are coded specifically for use with their cameras and are recommended for full compatibility.
