A: They should match, but we have not performed this specific test and have no means to do so as these are part of a "special order" item, which means that the product drop ships directly from manufacturer.

A: Yes, the end caps can be threaded off.

Q: 10. I need to support a canon 100-400mm lens is this suitable ?

I prefer these over other manufacturers. The bevelled edges make sliding components on and off super easy. Solid build, nice and clean. 5

Because they are chrome aluminum they withstand scratching and denting better than any black painted machined aluminum rods. 5
