The WiMi6220 Wireless 3G-SDI & HDMI H.264 Decoder/Receiver from Nimbus pairs with an optional WiMi6220 transmitter as a point-to-point Wi-Fi transmission system with a 4921' range and only 80ms latency. With both units featuring built-in 5 GHz Wi-Fi, no additional network connection is required. This unit can be powered using the included Gold mount battery plate or via the included power adapter.

The receiver accepts up to a 1080p60 SDI or HDMI signal encoded in H.264 by the transmitter, and it decodes and outputs it as video. Up to four receivers can be paired to a single transmitter for multicasting over the same range and with the same near-zero delay.

An Ethernet port, which allows for CCU/PTZ camera control, can also be used for wired connectivity and 1080p60 transmission with a Cat 5e cable. The WiMi6220 receiver features an RS-422 interface and a two-way talk-back audio jack. With a corresponding audio jack available on the transmitter, the talk-back port allows connecting a headset mic for communication with talent. For mounting, it offers a 1/4"-20 mounting thread on the bottom.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I cannot get a feed with SDI at 59.97fps. Transmitter and receiver say 60pfs and my decklink says its receiving 30fps. Any help?

A: The Hollyland Mars 400S PRO SDI/HDMI Wireless Video Transmission System will only output an even frame rates of 24, 25, 30, 50, 60. It cannot output 29.97 or 59.94. If your system requires 29.97 or 59.94, the signal from the receiver will not be compatible, unless a frame rate converter is used. A scaler such as the Blackmagic Design Mini Converter UpDownCross HD, could help to convert the frame rate appropriately. https://bhpho.to/3Qd2icc

Q: 2. It looks like there are some rounded holes on the back for a fan that may be inside the units. If so, I'm curious if they generate noise that might interfere with audio on set. ?

A: There is some noise that, depending upon room conditions, may interfere with audio on set.

Q: 3. Does this work with Red Helium 8K?

A: Yes, you will need one of the RED Expanders.

Q: 4. They came with batteries

A: The Hollyland Mars 400S PRO SDI/HDMI Wireless Video Transmission System comes with a DC power adapter. You need to purchase batteries or another DC Power adapter to power the other unit.

Q: 5. Will this also transmit the embedded SDI/HDMI audio coming from the camera? For instance, will I hear sync'd audio to video when I plug in headphones to the monitor or iphone?

A: Hi Darren, yes of course.

Q: 6. Is the latency different with the pro than with the not pro one? If so, by how much?

A: Hi Gabe, the pro one has better latency, 80-100ms. The non pro one is 100ms. Of course it also depnends on the real working environment.

Q: 7. Can I record wireless externally on the atomos if I hook it up with the Shogun?

A: Using the Hollyland Mars 400S PRO SDI/HDMI Wireless Video Transmission System as a way to get the signal from the camera to the recorder should work; we see no red flags to say no. However, any blip or drop or defect in the signal will be recorded. We suggest that direct recording is the correct method.

Q: 8. will this series be compatible to receive or send signal to the original 400s?

A: From what I can find, there is no official information saying you can connect them together and I would assume not.

Q: 9. Hello, what are the exact RF frequencies used for this item? I believe there are 12 different "channel" presets, but I would like to know the exact frequency in Hz because we have been struggling with some interference. Hopefully this information will help us to coordinate our RF environment. I need more detail than just "5Ghz".

A: Please contact Hollyland Mars directly: Email sales@hollyland-tech.com

Q: 10. Is there a way to power the transmitter with a V-Mount Battery? Does it come with a DC cable?

A: A DC power cable is included. However to power it from a V-mount battery you would need a D-Tap cable like this. https://bhpho.to/38pqKnQ
