Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is this strap good enough to hold canon 5d3 with canon 70-200 f/2.8 IS II attached ?

A: I hold a Nikon d810 with 24-120 and feels pretty well. Also a f6 with different lenses and feels ok too. It's a great strap!

Q: 2. Is the GripTight portion detachable from the Mocto Stand?

A: Yes it is.

Q: 3. Will this bag fit a nikon Df with the 200-500mm lens attached?

A: Yes. I use it for a D750 with the 200-500 lens. The Df body is slightly smaller than the D750, so it should fit just fine.

Q: 4. Can this be used with a Canon G7Xii without problems or damage to the camera slot lugs?

A: No, this strap is too big for your camera eyelets. You need a strap with a thin loop like the ones listed below; https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/products/Camera-Straps/ci/283/N/3656173706?sort=PRICE_LOW_TO_HIGH&filters=fct_strap-type_2298%3Aneck-shoulder&searchWithin=loop

Q: 5. How wide is the strap where it loops through the camera slot lug?

A: The camera strap section is 3/8 wide.

Q: 6. Would this work as a base for a remote camera (attached to a small ball head)? Or would a small tabletop trip such as the Feisol TT-15 be a better option for a remote?

A: The 3 Legged Thing DocZ2 Foot Stabilizer for Monopods (Gray/Black) with a ball head could be used for a remote camera.

Q: 7. How to attach to a camera

A: To attach the Think Tank Photo Camera Strap V2.0 onto a camera, you need attachments such as the Ruggard Split D-Ring to do so. https://bhpho.to/2EF2Rul

Q: 8. How long is each foot section?

A: approx 14 cm / 5.5 "

Q: 9. How adjustable is the friction control to reduce rotation when shooting a big lens?

A: Hi James, the boot underneath is the lock or unlock the ball for adjusting position.

Q: 10. Would you recommend a ‘large’ or a ‘small’ size release button for a Nikon FM2N? Also, why do some users prefer either a concave or convex shape? Thanks.

A: For an FM2, a large would be good. As far as shape, that is a matter of personal preference. I think a concave design is best for comfort, etc...

This is a perfect design for the function. It keeps a tight grip and pivots. It collapses to a small size for transport. I wish I was more coordinated when trying to start threading in the screw but that's a problem I experience with any tripod device. It also is good for standing the phone for FaceTime chats.

I use the GripTight Micro Stand for time lapse and family photos. It does what it says and keeps my iphone 5 positioned exactly like I want it. Good buy! And you can use the top portion separately to mount on a tripod! Bonus! Its is a good buy, and good bye!

Convenient stand for multiple devices. A great adapter to mount phone to full-size tripod. Doesn't obstruct view or interfere with controls. Even my non-techie wife said she thinks it cool. No doubt, this thing is going on my next trip. Slight concern that the ball joint will lose it's effectiveness after many uses but time will tell.
