Rugged, thick aluminum tubes support portable, full-sized PA speakers weighing up to 120 lb. Even at venues where factors like wind or a crowded dancefloor can affect the stability of speaker stands, the SS-47A-PB will provide firm support for your PA speakers. These durable stands are made to hold up to the demands of travel and repeated use.
These stands adjust from 3.8 to 7.5' in height. Sturdy metal locking collars are easy-to-grip and tighten for precise height adjustment. Each stand sports a main column with six preset heights that can be set with a locking pin for extra security for your speakers.
Each stand offers a tripod base to steadily support your speakers. These legs are constructed with a center brace, so all the legs are connected to the center column to ensure stability.
The SS-47A-PB is ready to withstand the rigors of the road, with lightweight yet sturdy aluminum tubing that folds down to a compact 44" in length. Throw the stand in the trunk or in your gear case. The durable aluminum construction won't dent or bend during transport.
Rubber nonslip feet provide traction whether you're using the speaker stands outdoors, on an uneven surface, or on smooth surfaces like a gym floor.
These stands ship with industry-standard 1.375" speaker mounts, and 1.5" mount adapters are included for compatibility with most mountable PA speakers.

Q: 1. Is there an adapter that would allow me to mount a Godox AD400Pro to this?
A: You can use the Impact Female Threaded 3/8" to Male 5/8" Stud Adapter - 50mm Long (B&H # IMCA117) to enable the Auray BP-36A Quick-Twist Lightweight Aluminum Boompole to support the Godox AD400Pro Witstro All-in-One Outdoor Flash. Since the AD400Pro and battery weighs 4.63 lb. and is heavier than most microphones that the BP-36A is intended to support, you may want to consider using a boompole that is designed to support lights and handle more weight, such as the Photoflex LiteReach Plus (B&H # PHEPLP). The LiteReach Plus has a 5/8" top stud so you will not need an adapter and it can handle a 15 lb vertical load at its full extension.

A: yes, the products are the same. This is a B&H kit where they are selling the two separate items together, while the other one is the actual Manfrotto kit that comes together in one box.

Q: 6. We just got this tripod and the instructions that came with it lists two things that have perplexed us. Under KEY FEATURES , they list two rubber made leg warmers as well as Quick power lock levers that allow to easily open all levers simultaneously. What are they talking about? Is this just a bad translation from Italian or...?
A: Just received mine and I also was confused by the term Leg Warmers . Two of the legs have heavy rubber insulators surrounding the columns about a foot long at the top to keep your hands from freezing by grabbing bare metal in cold weather.
Q: 7. what is the difference between manfrotto mt055 xpro3 and mt190 xpro3 (aluminum) ?
A: The 055-series is larger, heavier, and sturdier than the 190-series. XPRO3 stands for their X-PRO series of tripods with 3 sections (XPRO4 would mean 4-sections) and can extend laterally for top-down shooting as well. The 190-series comes in X (no lateral) and XPRO versions, but the 055 is only available in XPRO.
Q: 8. pole is compatible to the comica cvm vs08 directional microphone
A: The Comica Audio CVM-VS08 Directional Shotgun Microphone for Smartphones does not have an accessory thread to be able to use it by itself with the Auray BP-36A Quick-Twist Lightweight Aluminum Boompole. You would need to use the mic with a smartphone and smartphone holder that is equipped with an accessory thread in order to attach the boompole.
Q: 9. How do you configure this tripod for 3.5 setup?
A: Hi Peter,I'll try to explain the way that I have done this. For this configuration, I use the X PROball head because it allows for the easiest adjustments. First, hold the tripod as if you have just removed it from the box with the head pointed in the upward position. At the top of each leg, located just below the silver head mounting plate, you will see a rectangular silver lever approximately 2 1/4 inches long. This lever is the leg lock release. At the bottom of this lever, you will see an inverted triangle (with the point facing down). While holding the tripod by the other two legs, place your thumb on the triangle , of the leg you are working on, and apply downward pressure. You should feel the lock release. While maintaining this pressure, rotate the leg upward until it is in a horizontal position. This is the maximum the tripod will allow the leg to move. Release the pressure from your thumb and the leg will lock in place horizontally. Repeat this process for the other two legs. Now all three legs should be horizontal and the central shaft should still be vertical. Next, locate the wing-nut by the red emblem just below the silver head mounting plate. Unlock this wing-nut by turning it open. Invert the tripod so that the head mounting plate is seated in your left hand. At the bottom of the central shaft , you will see a large red triangular shaped button. Press this button and maintain pressure as you slowly push the central shaft upward. Continue pushing until you hear the lock engage . Invert the tripod right-side up. Then rotate the head mounting plate to the left of the wing-nut and the central shaft will now lay on top of the opposing leg. Next, turn the wing-nut to the locked position. Attach the X PROball Head and rotate the camera mounting plate to the upward position. Attach camera and you are ready to take low level pictures. Reverse each step of this process to return the tripod to its original position. Hope this helps.
