Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can I use the c-41 on this film?

A: No this is not a C41 film . You need to develop with black and white chemicals like D76.

Q: 2. How does this film hold when pushed to 1600,3200 and 6400 iso?

A: T-Max is well known to be able to be pushed to 1600. However, I don't know how it holds up after that. I've heard of HP-5 being pushed to 3200 but you would need to stand develop that roll or it would be way too contrast.

Q: 3. How many 36 frames rolls can this 100 feet roll can yield? Thanks.

A: You could get about twenty 36 exposure rolls of film from a 100' roll of bulk film.

Q: 4. Hi, I need correct expiration date of this item. Because I have to know if i would able to use all of them before expiration.

A: We guarantee our film as fresh for at least 6 months, but it is often much longer than that.

Q: 5. Can I use the c-41 on this film?

A: No. There were some B&W films made years ago that could be processed with C-41, but not anymore.

Q: 6. Can I get this in a pack (like 5 or 10)?

A: This film is priced the same per roll regardless of what quantity you purchase. We do not currently have it bundled in any quantity pack, but you may purchase it at whatever quantity you prefer.

Q: 7. Is this film 35mm T-Max ISO400 36 exposure film?

A: Yes, this is Kodak T-Max ISO 400, 36 count exposures in the roll.

Q: 8. how many exposures are there

A: There are 36 exposures on this roll.

Q: 9. What is standard black and white photo processing?

A: Generally, standard processing is used for black and white film negatives and C-41 processing is used for color film negatives, but there are a couple of black and white films that use C-41 processing (such as Ilford XP2 Super). Typically, one-hour photo labs that process film (if you can still find one) are only set up to process C-41. There are several mail-in photo labs in the US that process standard black and white film and return the negatives along with a CD or prints.

Q: 10. Which developer would be preferable for Tmax 100 shot at box speed. Kodak HC110 or R09 or any other?

A: hc110 is a good developer but i still feel the best fine grain compensation developer is still edwal fg7 it is still made look it up on the internet some places still sell it best developer i have ever used

This is a great film and so glad it is still available. Especially great for all my friends who are dipping their toes in the world of film....just needs a tweak in levels. Great shadow detail!

I use this film for personal black and white photography. It is very clear when used in an enlarger. Great overall.

Finding my love for (B&W)film photography again after using digital in the past I was happy to find this film still on offer. It has a wide exposure latitude, can be developed in any color lab and another huge advantage: ICE and/or other dust and scratch removal functions work perfectly during scanning process. Tonal range is nice as well.

I bought the XP-2 film on the recommendation of another pro photographer. I'm using it for photojournalism and convenience of processing. The look is exactly what I want and processing at the lab, drug store or ...gives me the prints and scans on a disk along with the negatives....

Does it get any better than c41 black and white film?

Great film, forgiving ISO, I often have it processed at walgreens with great results but I am careful which tech is on duty. I have taken many great shots with this film over the last 20 or so years.

As someone who has been shooting and developing his own film since 1967 and then, because of a move, lost his darkroom, this Ilford film has been a Godsend. It enables me to continue shooting in B&W and use my trusty old camera. I get it developed at the local ...- and scanned, too, so I have the image in my computer, as well. And the results are, to my eye, superior to what's possible with a digital camera - rich blacks, sharp edges, great tonal quality. And as soon as I resurrect my darkroom, I will have some great negs to print.

This a great black and white film that can be developed with color chemicals. Nice shadows , and pure grays.

Easy C-41 development in 35mm or 120. Usually shows a variety of color shades, within the same roll, in the prints depending on the lab used. Fine grain quality though it is 400 ASA.

I keep a large stock of frozen film (frozen so no worry about expiry dates). My ambition is to never run out of this wonderful film stock, especially as I can develop it at home myself in B&W chemistry. An extra 500' of film (which will load into around 150 36 exposure cassettes is just insurance!
