A: I'm a little disappointed in this adapter. It is slow in the AF mode. It works a little better in MF. I have used it on my cannon lenses 70-200 IS 2.8 and my 28-70 2.8 What I'm finding is I either either use my sony with my sony lens and canon Mark II 5D with canon lens. I will be calling Metabone to see if there is a patch or software upgrade to make it more responsive.

A: This fine adapter does not cause a crop factor but the sensor of the camera it is used on does. That Super35 sensor has an approximately 1.6 crop factor from full frame. Moving forward, I recommend learning that in Super35, a 35mm lens gives a normal perspective and to extrapolate wide and tele lenses from there. Then you can drop calculating what the lens looks like in a format you are not using.
