Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. assembly for power ?

A: Power is provided only through the device that the USB is connected to. No batteries, or outside power cord.

Q: 2. I have found some very old (100 year old) negatives, size 2-1/2" x 4" of my mother as a child. Will the Kodak Scanza be able to scan them?

A: You can purchase a flatbed scanner that scans larger size negatives/slides. You will have to mask off the scan area, as the holders are not exactly 2.5x4. Click the link below to view; https://bhpho.to/3eHEjQo

Q: 3. does the device run the film through at speed? So that you can see it in its original moving images? 8mm

A: Unfortunately, a moving image cannot be seen when scanning the frames on 8mm film.

Q: 4. Does it crop 35 mm film? How badly?

A: This scanner does not crop when scanning 35mm film.

Q: 5. What are the video specs for Super 8 scanning?

A: When one is using the Kodak Scanza Digital Film Scanner for Super 8 scanning, their are no "video specs", because the Scanza scanner is a one frame at a time scanner. Slide shows are possible but not motion picture.

Q: 6. HelloNice to see the improvement on this type of scanners! This could be a great model.Could you answer is it able to save tiff format or only jpg. Which size jpg files are saved by mascine?Thank you.

A: This is a quick, easy and thus simple machine. Therefore it outputs to only JPEG, no TIFF. You could convert to TIFF in your processing program if you wish. You are given a choice of 14Mp or an up-rezed interpolation of 22Mp. These resolutions are great for the web or prints up to 4 x 6 .

Q: 7. Will this connect and work with either my Apple iMac and/or M1 MacMini running Big Sur operating system?

A: Yes this will work with Big Sur, just be sure to update the firmware and you should be all set.

Q: 8. Hi, does a Kodak Scanza Digital Film Scanner able to use 220v or they able to power up by USB cable only? Thanks

A: The AC power supply that comes with this is universal meaning it can take 110 to 220 VAC. You will need to order a plug adapter for it so you can connect to your electrical mains. You will find a suitable one on this page. https://bhpho.to/2mZZNRi

Q: 9. Is it possible to view the slides/negatives without scanning?

A: Yes, you can view the image before hand with or without scanning it.

Q: 10. power assembly instructions ?

A: The device is powered through a USB port on the side of the unit. The "power assembly" such as it is, consists of a USB cable and an AC adapter. The large end of the USB cable fits into the AC adapter and the AC adapter is plugged into an AC outlet. The smaller fitting on the other end of the cable fits into the USB port, or opening, on the side of the scanner.
