Ok, so this is a very great projector, got it for my 15th birthday, i have it for my ROOM!!! This thing is great, i have this projector sitting a little over 8' away, which is pretty close, and guess what! it projects a 6' (72 inches) diagonal screen, Also this projector is WXGA, which is like XGA (720p), but it's widescreen which make it better for watching movies, also it has a maximum resolution that is 1080P, which really doesn't mean anything. This is a very good projector for just my room. I would recommend a different projector if you are going to project a screen bigger that 13' diagonal, because since it's only 720P it might look bad. Check this before you buy a screen, this virtual throw distance is pretty accurate. The projector is VERY bright, even in eco mode, which means your bulb can last 6,000 hours. I have this connected to my ps3 with an HDMI cable, and my desktop with a VGA cables. You will be very happy with this little thing, i have used it for about 22 hours, it also has a hour counter, if you use this for 5 hours every day you can last about 4 years, I have had this for a little more than 2 weeks, will report again in about one year,

I bought this product for use in my basement as the centerpiece for my entertainment system. I could not have been more satisfied. The first night I opened the box I watched Game 4 of the NBA finals in HD, worked fantastic, all guests walked downstairs and said WOW. Watched transformers blu-ray, incredible display. Played Call of Duty MW3 live, again the projector gave crystal clear display with great color saturation, literally felt like playing on a 120' lcd tv, also felt like an unfair advantage. Darks are great, colors vibrant, I would recommend to anyone. I'm pretty much advertising the dang thing to friends just so they might get the enjoyment out of it that I have. Things I was worried about -16:10 Native Resolution, bought a 16:9 Screen: Absolutely no problem. Have not run into a display that doesnt fit the screen perfect, and if I do in the future, the interface to change ratios to my preference is very easy.

I purchased this projector, because it was 2nd in a top-ten list provided by a projector review website. The 3D is much better than a theater, it displays rich color, contrast is amazing as well. I now have no need to go to the theater to watch 3D, because it looks better in my basement.

I wish it came in black but other than that has been great. Have it hooked into my Onkyo receiver and watching netflix, hulu, @, dvd's, Blu-Ray's and when my glasses come in tomorrow 3D Blu Ray. Throws out a bright picture that even my poorly light controlled room shows well. (I wouldn't have any light directly thrown on the viewing serface however. MY only gripe is I wish the remote had a laser pointer built in, but then again this isn't a business projector...

We use this in our living room with a late-model Macbook Pro connected via Thunderbolt - HDMI. The user interface is clear and easy-to-use, the resolution is sharp and the picture is bright enough to use in the afternoon, even without all of the shades drawn closed. Throw in a tethered lens cap and a padded case, and this projector gives you plenty of bang for your buck.

The 3D is amazing. Better than the theaters. The lack of lens shift makes the install kind of a pain, but once you find that sweet spot, all is right with the world. A bargain at twice the price.

Optoma produce excellent projectors. This model, the HD33,which includes 3D feature is amazing for the price. Do not hesitate.Blurays look great. If you have a projector already, upgrade to 3D and if you are new to Home theater projectors start with this one. Obtain DLP link glasses which are now reasonably priced and project onto a screen or a wall and be impressed.

This projector has performed beyond my expectations with the crisp image quality, amazing lighting in multiple circumstances, and the lack of noise. I knew my 115 screen would look good but I never expected it to look this good!
