The FunCam provides an easy workflow for creating time-lapse videos of cloud movements, sunsets, and more. A photo will automatically be captured at selectable intervals of 2, 5, or 10 seconds and then combined into a continuous video of those photos.

A photo self-timer function is also provided so the kid playing with the camera has enough time to get into a group photo.

For time-lapse and self-time shots, the FunCam would need to be mounted on an optional mini tripod or other support, and an industry-standard 1/4"-20 tripod mounting thread is offered on the bottom of the camera for this. The camera can also be attached to most selfie sticks and grip handles via this thread.

The recorded content can be offloaded to a computer over the included USB cable. The cable can also be used for charging the built-in battery from any standard USB charger. The battery runs about 100 minutes when recording and 140 minutes on standby.

The FunCam features a built-in mic and a speaker for capturing audio and hearing sound when playing back recorded videos on the 2" display or after offloading the footage.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Would like to use as a rear view camera on camper with continuous live action output. Does it have a cigarette plug adapter or other 12 volt capabilities? Best way to hook up to monitor in the truck cab? My understanding is I will have to run a cable directly to a laptop or tablet. Suggestions for wireless hookup would be helpful. ThanksGary C. 3-13-15

A: You can uses a cigarette charge with usb connexion

Q: 2. How do I import my videos to YouTube

A: You will need to load the video into a video editing software and export the video for compatibility with Youtube.

Q: 3. Can you use an external mic with it to run inside a motorcycle helmet for motovlogging? If so is there any particular kind?

A: No, no input for external mic.

Q: 4. Is there supposed to be a card for the warranty in the packaging?

A: Not only is it a question of warranty registration: how are owners notified of firmware updates or product recall notices? I checked the manufacturer's website but found nothing helpful, though I suppose you could send an e-mail to the address they listed or mail a letter to the address in China!

Q: 5. if water gets in the camera from being in water will the drop and spill protection cover it?

A: Yes it will.

Q: 6. How do I add a warranty to my order

A: You can see your options for additional coverage by adding an item to your shopping cart.

Q: 7. does this have an option for lapse time shooting?

A: With the latest SJcam 4000 Wifi, the latest firmware does offer time lapse from the MENU, from 3 seconds up to 1 minute intervals.

Q: 8. Does this camera come with a selfie stick attachment?

A: No, it does not. I use a 12 inch flexible tripod as a permanent mount for hand held shooting.

Q: 9. Two questions. 1. In Camera mode, is the 5-digit number shown in the lower left corner the remaining space available on the memory card? If yes, then 2. After taking a few photos and recording some videos of less than 1 minute each, I re-formatted the 32GB MicroSDHC memory card (deleted the entire contents). When I checked Camera mode afterwards, it indicated only 19.578GB remaining. Why isn't there about 32GB available on the card?

A: No card after formatting will show as much space as the card's stated size. This basic computer engineering and has to do with how files are created and controlled. However, losing a 1/3 of capacity is wrong. I am guessing that you may have some protected files still on the card. If not, then try with another card.

Q: 10. The format the videos are saved in, won't let me export or share. They work on the camera app designed for the camera and iphoto, but thats it. How can I edit them and save them on my computer?

A: I have always taken the SD Card out and and then open with Windows media Player and then view them and to edit them I use widows Photo and video editor and saved them after editing. I hope you understand.
