Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does this accept Bowens mount soft boxes?

A: Not directly, no. The Elinchrom D-Lite RX One Flash Head uses the Elinchrom mount, not the Bowens S-mount, for connecting light modifiers to this light fixture. As such, in order to use a Bowens S-mount light modifier on the Elinchrom D-Lite RX One Flash Head, it is recommended to purchase the GTX STUDIO Bowens to Elinchrom Flash Head Adapter, B&H # GTGSAR1424 • MFR # GS-AR-1424. https://bhpho.to/3Gc7hWG

Q: 2. I love using this lighting set. Question: When I use three elinchrom flashheads, they sound not together really quickly. Is there anything I need to check? Is there a manual download for the trigger plus? I found a two page manual on the elinchrom website.

A: What sound? Fan, beep? If they are at different power levels they may sound different.

Q: 3. What is the part # for the reflector that will fit the D-Lite 400W/s RX 4? I see that it does not come with one.

A: ELR6 is the umbrella reflector https://bhpho.to/2K0SfIe.

Q: 4. Will this grip fit the new IV version of the RX100?

A: I have the RX 100 III and I find the group to be extremely useful. I was told by a friend to buy the grip and I'm very happy I did.

Q: 5. Is this compatible with a Sekonic Litemaster Pro L-478DR using its own Pocketwizard transmitter? If not, can Pocketwizard receivers be connected to them to work?

A: If you are referring to the Sekonic LiteMaster Pro L-478DR-U-EL Series Light Meter for Elinchrom EL Skyport System, B&H # SEL478DRELU, then it would be fully compatible for use with the Elinchrom D-Lite RX 4/4 Softbox To Go Kit as packaged. If you instead own the Sekonic LiteMaster Pro L-478DR-U Light Meter for PocketWizard System, B&H # SEL478DRU, it would not be directly compatible for use with the Elinchrom D-Lite RX 4/4 Softbox To Go Kit. However, you may use the Sekonic LiteMaster Pro L-478DR-U Light Meter for PocketWizard System with the light kit by connecting the included Elinchrom EL-Skyport Transmitter Plus (B&H # ELSTP) to the synchro terminal on the bottom of the light meter with the Metz 36-50 Standard Sync Cord, B&H # ME5548. When you press the MEASURE button on the meter, it will trigger the transmitter connected via the cable and trigger your lights. If If you are using PocketWizard remotes with the Sekonic LiteMaster Pro L-478DR-U Light Meter for PocketWizard System and the light kit, the light meter will communicate directly with the PocketWizard remotes. However, you will have to connect the PocketWizard remotes to the Elinchrom monolight strobes via the 1/8 (3.5mm) sync terminal on the rear of the monolights via the PC sync cables included with the PocketWizard remotes. The PocketWizard remotes are not directly compatible with the Elinchrom Skyport receivers built into the light fixture, so they have to be connected via the sync cable. If you do not have a sync cable, the PocketWizard PC1N Locking PC Sync Cable (1'), B&H # WIPC1NPC, would work for your usage needs.

Q: 6. What is the total weight of the whole kit and the length of the bags?

A: We only have the spec including the retail box, 22lbs.

Q: 7. It was necessary to remove this grip due to a return of my RX100 M5 due to a defect. I will be receiving a replacement RX100 M5. Does anyone know what type adhesive tape I can use when I refit my current grip on the replacement camera?

A: I would say the best product to use would be 3M branded double sided sticky pads or tape

Q: 8. could I trigger D-Lite with flash slave trigger or as slave ? and what the x-sync speed when as slave ? thanks

A: You can set up the strobes as slaves individually or together with a sinc cable, remote or on camera flash. I believe the x sinc should be based on the flash sinc on your camera. The elinchrom web site has manuals on the d-lite 4 strobe. The optional hs trigger works great . You can control each and all strobes and use high shutter speeds.

Q: 9. Hi. What is the GN for this strobe? I am looking to get a few for studio assignments which requires F8-F13 apertures.? I have a phottix Luna beauty dish i wish to mount on this strobe, is there a mount converter for it? what is the syn cable supplied: 3.5mm - PC? I'm using a pentax K3 so will have to sync using cable with RF603CII, will it work? Thanks in advance.

A: I don't remember the GN off hand, but it will most definitely handle the apertures you are mentioning. It's very powerful! You can get conversion mounts for it either at b&h or most definitely amazon. the sync cable supplied is what you also mentioned. but I'm not sure about the rf603cII. I use radio remote triggers (pocket wizards)

Q: 10. Any advantage of this vs. Canon's $100 Mount Adapter EF-EOS R?

A: They are about the same, the Canon adapter will give you more responsive autofocus.
