Q: 2. Will this work with Star Adventurer Mini and Sony A5100?
A: Yes the Vello 2.5mm Remote Shutter Release Cable II for Sony Multi-Terminal Cameras is compatible with the Sony A5100 and the Sky Watcher Star Adventurer.
Q: 3. does this work with the Canon T7i?
A: Sorry I have a 70D. I bought the Vello for a trip to Grand Teton National Park for night photography last year, but smoke from a forest fire made us cancel the trip.
Q: 4. I have a canon rebel T5 camera will the canon 3 pin connection work? Thanks
A: No, this model has a single pin connector. You'll need the version with the 3-pin connector.
Q: 5. does this unit work with extension cord MC-21 from Nikon?
A: The Nikon MC-21 is specifically designed for use with Nikon 10-pin remote shutter releases. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that it would work with a third party remote shutter release such as the ShutterBoss. We dont have one in stock to try.
Q: 6. Will this work with Mirror Up (M-Up) mode? I want to use the Vello Shutterboss on my D610 for long exposures of several minutes. Before firing the shutter, I need to be able to raise the mirror and let the camera settle from shake. Is this possible with this remote?
A: When you use the shutterboss for the exposure timing then you have to use the camera shutter to raise the mirror (you are only bringing up the mirror so you can touch the camera) and then trip the timer on the shutterboss to make the long exposure. It works great. I hope this helps. Hal
Q: 7. Does it work with canon 6D?
A: Absolutely. Works pefectly with the 6D.
Q: 8. I want to record a series of back-to-back bulb exposures with *very* little time between exposures -- essentially continuous shooting. Specifically... Can I set the Vello device to 20-sec exposures and 20-sec intervals? ...or must I add a between-shot time delay? (e.g., 19-sec exposures and 20-sec intervals).
A: You need to set the interval. And the fastest is one second.
Q: 9. Will this work with my Sony ZV E10?
A: Unfortunately no. The ZVE10 does not accepted a cabled remote. Only wireless remotes such as your smartphone or this Sony bluetooth remote: https://bhpho.to/3XR36Lm
Q: 10. The description states that when using it with your camera in bulb mode, slide the shutter release button forward to lock and the shutter will stay open until YOU release it. Doesn't this have a feature where one could set a time for the shutter to release so you do not have to be present to release the shutter?
A: Yes there is a setting for that. You have to set it up to have the shutter release more then once, and you can set the duration and what not as well, like macro program
