Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is there a max wattage rating? per socket? total wattage? Are the sockets plastic or ceramic/porcelain? Will it accommodate a mix of different wattage bulbs?

A: The total wattage the light fixture is rated for is 350 watts in fluorescent bulbs. The sockets are plastic not ceramic.

Q: 2. Can you set the modeling lamp to be proportional?

A: No, the modeling lamp on the Godox DP400III-V Professional Studio Flash with LED Modeling Lamp does not support proportional control.

Q: 3. The rated CRI is quite low for a video light and would likely not render colors accurately. Any chance this is a misprint -- it seems quite low at well below 80 cri?

A: You are correct, the CRI is a bit low. This isn't meant to be a primary, production-grade instrument, but a quick and inexpensive item to throw into your travel bag, or the glove box in your car. You won't win any awards for excessively creative or inspiring lighting (probably), but you'll be able to shoot in the dark if you weren't quite prepared if you keep this handy.

Q: 4. Could I use one, two or three Savage 50W LED bulbs (B&H # SA50WLED) in some of the seven fluorescent sockets on this light head? Thank you!

A: While the Savage 50W LED bulbs have the same Edison base as the fluorescent lamps included with this fixture, they have not be tested by the manufacturer as being fully compatible. Your results may vary.

Q: 5. Can I rotate the screen to be landscape instead of portrait?

A: Yes on this configuration you can use Landscape

Q: 6. How long does it last at full power out put and from a fully charged battery? I hope someone tested it...

A: The longest time that I have used the light at full power is about 15 minutes. I can't say at what point it would die.

Q: 7. To speed setup, can the domes be set up then just put them on the stands and add the bulbs at a close location w big suv?

A: The softboxes in the Raya Octa Fluorescent 7-Socket Fixture 2-Light Softbox Kit can be attached to the light fixture in advance and placed on the stands when you are ready to shoot.

Q: 8. Is there a manufacturer's warranty for this product? If so, what is the duration?

A: The Godox DP400III-V Professional Studio Flash with LED Modeling Lamp BH #GODP400IIIV has a 1 year B&H warranty.

Q: 9. can i plug it into 220volt supply?

A: This is a multi-voltage light fixture, so you can use it on 100-240VAC.

Q: 10. This says it does 1/800 to an action-stopping 1/2000 sec. Does that mean I can stop action like a TTL light?

A: The flash duration speed of a light has nothing to do with TTL. The TTL means Through-the-lens. It means that the light is measured only after it has passed through the camera lens. The flash duration is the speed of the light and the pattern on how it drops. Any flash has the ability to clean the motion, but how good and clean it will be done will depend on the quality and T stop of the light. The Godox DP400III-V Professional Studio Flash with LED Modeling Lamp does not have TTL support.
