The 52mm IRIX Edge SR UV Filter eliminates the blue cast of ultraviolet light to allow more accurate and natural colors. It can also be kept on your lens simply to protect the front lens element against dust, dirt, water, and accidental bumps. The latter aspect is especially useful during activities such as hiking. The filter features optical glass coated with multi-layer antireflective NANO coating as well as special coatings on both sides that make the filter waterproof and oil repellent. The filter has a slim aluminum frame threaded on both sides.

A: The older Pana/Leica 25mm lens is f1.4 and metal construction, this lens is smaller, lighter, plastic (except for the lens mount which is metal) and f1.7

A: Yes, it may extend below the lower edge of the GM5
Q: 9. Does this lens feature Mega OIS or what, I don't see any indication of optical stabilization?
A: No, the Panasonic Lumix G 25mm f/1.7 ASPH. Lens does not have image stabilization built into the lens.
