Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What is the expiration date now?

A: Expiration date 02/20206 as of 8/15/2022

Q: 2. Harmon positive paper ?

A: Yes, you can use Ilford Harman Warmtone Developer for Black and White RC and Fiber-based Papers with HARMAN technology Direct Positive Fiber Based (FB) Paper.

Q: 3. Are the film rolls expired?

A: I've bought a few rolls from B&H and they have always been fresh.

Q: 4. What is the dimension of the autopilot? I notice the mini-pole is 28 mm wide.

A: The base plates are 3.5 inches in diameter. The lower portion of the pole itself is about 6 inches in circumference.

Q: 5. Does it come with the film already or have to buy separately?

A: The following camera comes with (27 Exposures) no need to buy film.

A: In the absence of testing reports we would suggest the best way to determine the effect of this developer on that paper would be accomplished by personal testing in your darkroom.

Q: 7. Can I use them with Savage Paper Backgrounds 107 x12yd? What other accessories do I need?

A: You can but you will need a bogen crossbar and 2 Bogen super clamps

Q: 8. What is the exposure latitude for Delta 3200?

A: It is less than most other BW films. There is basically no underexposure latitude, any amount and the photos will have no shadow detail. It is more tolerant of overexposure, so err in that direction if you're not sure of exposure. Developer makes a big difference. Kodak Tmax Developer or Ilford DDX are the only ones that really give great results. D-76 is terrible.

Q: 9. Where can you get this filmed developed on to CD in the U.K.?

A: Its called google....

Q: 10. does it have plastic or glass lens?

A: It is a plastic lens.

I only use ilford chemicals I recently built a small darkroom and remembered great results from my high school and university days. Its easy to mix and always gives great results.

I've been using this fixer for both film and paper (fiber/RC) whenever I need a non-hardinening fixer, it's fast and last reasonably long if it's cared for properly. I use a water rinse after my stop bath at all times and I find that I am able to get the most square inches of emulsion fixed that way.

It's cheap and works fast, buy it!

As with all of Ilford's products - great. I love their fixer. It lasts long in the tray and with fixing the print. Worth it.

Over the last year I have been using rapid fixer for over 500 silver prints on fiber. It works great for fiber paper without harderner. I air dry the prints and toast them afterwards for 7 seconds on each side and the prints come out flat without any curls. Beautiful. The mix of 1 to 9 makes it quite cheap.

I have negatives that are five years old (very young by b&w standard), but there is no spotting or color changing on the negatives. I have used this fixer exclusively on both Ilford and Kodak films. I also use Zonal Pro archival wash and I believe the two together provide a strong fixer with minimal wash times increasing the efficiency of b&w development.

It's convenient to use and reasonably priced. Too soon to say the long-term effectiveness.
