It makes a big difference in clouded conditions. Now putting the 1.4 iii extender on my 100-400 ii lens is very practical, as the 500mm lens is difficult to lug around all the time. Yes, the photo's are a little soft to the O.C.D. community, but still very acceptable and professional looking, especially since I now have a 30 megapixel 5d iv. My biggest enemy is camera shake due to poor technical procedure from this rookie operator. I love the 1.4 iii extender. With B&H's return policy you can always send it back if you are not satisfied. I doubt you will.
