Phantom embodies the vision Devialet has been working towards: elevating sound to its rightful place in our lives, providing audiences around the world with a uniquely intricate and moving listening experience. Phantom has been revolutionizing the speaker game since its release, and has gone on to become a reference for acoustic excellence. By combining a series of radical patented technologies, Phantom consistently shatters expectations, at every step of the sound reproduction chain. Zero distortion, zero saturation, zero background noise.
Whether you're used to Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, optical or analog, Phantom's open architecture lets you get straight to the music you love.
- AirPlay 2: Apple users can enjoy an additional layer of control over their Phantom with AirPlay 2. Create a custom multiroom set-up by directly streaming audio from the control device (iPhone or iPad) to numerous AirPlay 2-connected speakers, including the Phantom.
- Spotify Connect: Spotify users can stream their favorite playlists on their favorite speaker with the help of Spotify Connect. All that's needed? The app and a Wi-Fi connection.
- Roon Ready: In addition to UPnP and the analog/optical input, Phantom owners are able to enjoy 24-bit-sample-rate music using Roon's streaming protocol. Phantom connects to Roon seamlessly, without any configuration steps, allowing users to enjoy perfect hi-res sound with ease.
- UPnP: With Universal Plug and Play, or UPnP, users can switch to a third-party application to play music hosted on their local networks. In other words, with the help of a UPnP controller application, Phantom is able to communicate with an external hard drive.
SAM, or Speaker Active Matching, is a software algorithm designed to deliver extreme fidelity throughout playback while protecting your speaker. Whether you are dealing with transient or steady-state signals, SAM is able to process more information than previously thought possible. This enables the Phantom to reproduce the exact tempo of your music, at all frequencies. All of it, with absolute precision. So that you can experience every last emotion, just as the artist intended.
The only thing better than a Phantom? Two. In stereo, the Phantom's soundstage expands even further and listening takes on a new dimension as the speakers dance in absolute synchronicity. More extreme, more powerful, more exhilarating. It is an unthinkably immersive experience. When combined, Phantoms become the most compact high-end stereo system on the market. Hint: stand in the middle and you'll feel like you're center stage. Really.
Sync your entire home in symphony or stream something different in every room thanks to your Devialet App (for iOS and Android). With Multiroom, there are now even more ways to play:
- Multi-Zone Play lets you group any Phantoms and feel the sound sing throughout your space.
- Single-Zone Play lets you mix and match your Phantoms in a single space for a next-level sound experience.
- Individual Play lets you have jazz playing in the kitchen while a podcast is being devoured on the couch. And everyone can control their own volume and manage zones right from the Devialet App.
Power this unreasonable requires some control. Set up your Phantom, finetune your settings, and stay up to date, all via the Devialet App. An intuitive companion, the app lets you customize your Phantom experience: setting up your Phantom, adjusting latency for A/V, activating Standby Mode or customizing bass for Night Mode.
Devialet thrives on end-to-end innovation (hardware, software, design inside and out, manufacturing) to offer ever-enhanced acoustics. In fact, to create Phantom, Devialet even built its own plant, hired talent that were used to unique challenges in other industries, and conceived their own robotics and quality control. Over 200 patents and over 90 awards later, Phantom speakers are, more than ever, in a class of their own.
The Phantom includes Devialet's powerful next-generation audio processing chip which helps deliver improved sound quality. Phantom's signal processing and amplification performance is embedded in a SoC (system on a chip), which was custom designed for optimal integration. The results? Enhanced heat dissipation for optimal performance at any volume, better energy efficiency, and barely measurable distortion, saturation, or noise.
ADH, or Analog Digital Hybrid, is Devialet's signature patented technology. In a truly groundbreaking feat, an analog amplifier teams up with four digital amplifiers. Working in parallel, the analog amplifier reproduces an unspoiled signal and sends it to the digital amplifiers, which are able to translate it digitally. In other words, ADH combines the sophistication of analog with the power and miniaturization of digital for the first time.
Developed exclusively for the Phantom, HBI, or Heart Bass Implosion, lets you feel infrabass frequencies all the way down to 16 Hz. Engineered to perform under extreme constraints, the Phantom's hermetically sealed architecture consists of two lateral woofers. When cued, they begin to dance in sync, creating opposing forces that cancel out even the slightest vibrations and generate ultra-dense sound, the kind your bones perceive before your ears. That's why you feel immersed in the Phantom: because you are, from head to toe.
The Phantom's elegant curves are guided by acoustics over design. Inspired by Harry Ferdinand Olson's pulsating sphere principle, the Phantom's ACE, or Active Cospherical Engine, radically optimizes the way sound waves form and travel. Instead of projecting in the classic 180° arc like traditional box speakers, Phantom achieves a 360° soundstage, emitting evenly and in all directions for perfectly balanced sound and zero surface diffraction. Whatever the listening angle.

When it comes to aesthetics and engineering, Devialet are purists. Extreme simplicity is a complex process, but they thrive in a good challenge. So when designing Phantom, they started at the beginning, at its purpose: to deliver sound in its purest form. In crafting the Phantom's overall look, Devialet focused on function and an obsessive attention to detail. Some call it French savoir-faire and art de vivre. They view this as honoring craftsmanship and pleasure equally. Beyond its iconic spherical shape, the Phantom also offers a range of colors, materials, and finishes that can stand out or blend in. You now have every excuse to treat yourself to the music you love.

Q: 1. I have lenses for my Panasonic gh4 and I am buying a Canon ef blackmagic. I have scoured the Internet for a converter that would work for this. No luck. Any leads?
A: The answer depends entirely on the specific camera you wish to use. In order that we may better assist you, please write us with further detail. provideo@bhphoto.com.
Q: 2. is Metabones Nikon G compatibel with nikon 200-400mm lens?
A: Yes. It will work with any Nikon lens -- older lenses with aperter rings and newer G lenses which have no aperture ring. With G lenses you set the aperture on the adapter.
Q: 3. I’ve noticed some websites listing this hood as compatible with the Canon RF 35mm f/1.8 lens. Can you confirm?
A: No, the Canon EW-103 Lens Hood is not compatible at all with the Canon RF 35mm f1.8 lens.
Q: 4. i want to use my Sigma 10mm f/2.8 Fisheye Lens for Nikon on sony a6000, will this adapter will do the job ?
A: I cab able using my Sigma 15mm fisheye
Q: 5. I'm trying to find the correct adapter to use this lens: Nikon AF-S VR Micro-NIKKOR 105mm f/2.8G IF-ED Lens on a Sony A6000. Is this the correct adapter? Are there other options? Thanks!
A: This is the right adapter for your Nikon G lenses. I had already bought an earlier Fododiox adapter before this one but it worked only with older Nikon lenses with manual aperture settings. That was the reason I bought this new adapter for G lenses, because you can dial in the aperture manually using the adapter's markings. It will also work with the older Nikon non-Ai, Ai, or AiS lenses. You have to know how to use it, because the markings do not specify the actual aperture values. The markings are F(widest) . 2 . 3 . 4 up to 8(smallest). Each number is equivalent to one stop. The dot in between the numbers can be the equivalent to a half-stop (i.e., 3.5, 4.5, 6.3 etc). From one dot to another dot is also equivalent to one stop. When using with a G lens, you use the adapter markings to adjust the aperture manually. Turn the adjustment to number 8 for the smallest opening and to the letter F for the widest. The adapter engages with the G lens aperture settings. This means you have to know the smallest aperture setting of the lens from #8, or the widest opening of the lens from F, and count the number of stops to where you want to set it using the following sequence: f/22, 16, 11, 8, 5.6, 4, 2.8, 2, 1.4).When using with an older Ai or AiS manual lenses or with AF lenses with aperture settings, turn the adapter to 8 and then use the lens' aperture settings to adjust the opening. The lens' aperture setting will engage with the adapter's diaphragm.
Q: 6. Do the numbers on the adapter correspond to the lens accurate f stops?
A: No they don't. When the Metabones adapter is installed, it overrides whatever f-stop you might set on the lens. In other words the Metabones adapter takes complete control of aperture. The numbers on the adapter range from F (for full wide open, I guess) through 1-6 to 7 which is fully stopped down. One can guess that halfway through the range from F to 7 might correspond with a mid-range lens aperture of about f8 or so, depending on the aperture range of the lens one is working with.
Q: 7. Can I charge this battery in my GR II, or need an external charger?
A: You can do both.
Q: 8. What's the outcome of using this adapter with Nikon DX lenses on my Sony A7s both in aps-c mode and full frame?
A: In APS-C crop mode, the image would have a 1.5x crop inside the camera, having the same view as if used on an APS-C camera. If used in full-frame mode, as DX lenses are designed for the smaller image sensor, it would have a black rounded vignette in the corner of the image where no light from the rear of the lens reaches the full-frame A7s sensor.
Q: 9. This tripod is entirely magnesium? No aluminum at all?!
A: The 3 Legged Thing Charles 2.0 Darkness Magnesium Alloy Tripod (Matte Black) is made of Magnesium alloy. Magnesium alloys are mixtures of magnesium (the lightest structural metal) with other metals (called an alloy), often aluminium, zinc, manganese, silicon, copper, rare earths and zirconium.
Q: 10. so with this adapter I can connect my Nikon lenses to my gh4, but how can I change my aperture since the lense is not the native lense?
A: Aperture is changed manually by turning the aperture ring on the adapter.
