Ideal for longer gear like tripods, light stands, and rifles, the HPRC 6300 Wheeled Hard Resin Case appeals to a wide range of applications and industries from photography to law enforcement to nautical uses. Its polypropylene-based TTX01 resin material is lighter than conventional resins without sacrificing strength, durability, and resistance to corrosion. When it's time to go, grab it by the large top handle and carry it or tow it behind you on its wheels with the smaller side handle. Four latches compress the lid's O-ring to an IP67 rating for protection of your gear. This version of the 6300 case is offered with the HPRC tripod kit. It features a soft lining that won't scratch the tripod's finish and retention straps that hold multiple tripods safe and secure during handling and transport.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I understand Sony a7 III (and other Sony camera) owners will need to connect via the supplied IR cable instead of utilizing the USB connection. Does this option provide the same functionality as the USB cable? How reliable is the IR connection? Is an update to get the USB cable working with Sony cameras forthcoming?

A: As Lukas S has correctly said, the IR cable will provide shutter and start/stop recording control but no focus. We are currently working on expanding compatibility to allow for USB and focus via USB.

Q: 2. Is the canon XC15 compatible with the Ronin-S?

A: The XC15 has not been tested by us, but it looks like (with minimal attachments) it will be able to be balanced fine. More testing is necessary, though.

Q: 3. Is this gimbal weather sealed?

A: The Ronin-S is not waterproof or water resistant. Although we do not recommend any contact with water without external protection, the Ronin-S will not immediately break when in contact with light moisture. Water damage is not covered under warranty.

Q: 4. any neat solution to use camera with arca swiss QR plate?

A: There are certainly some solutions out there, but many increase the height of your payload so taller cameras may be unable to be balanced. More testing needs to be done to determine what setups work perfectly.

Q: 5. Do you need the app in order to balance/use this or the Ronin M, or does it just help fine tune?

A: The App is not required to balance this gimbal. However it is very helpful to use for fine tuning.

Q: 6. Will the ronon-s be able to handle digital bolex with a c-mount lens? The weight limit is fine, I was wondering if the design would accomodate digital bolex.

A: While a Digital Bolex may be below the 7.9 pound load capacity. However the Ronin-S is designed to work with cameras in the shape of a DSLR or Mirrorless Photo Camera. It may not be able to balance the unique design of the Digital Bolex, we do not recommend it. Instead you'd want to look at larger two handed options like the Letus35 Helix Jr with Standard Camera Plate.https://bhpho.to/2BS0Ztvhttps://bhpho.to/2x8B6mM

Q: 7. Hi... Will this work with a SONY FDR-AX53? Thanks

A: The Ronin-S is designed for Mirrorless and DSLR cameras. However it may be able to balance a smaller camcorder like the Sony AX53 as well. You will need to test it out to see the results and you may not have full range of movement and performance when using a camcorder instead of a Photo Camera.

Q: 8. I noticed that my Panasonic lumix G7 wasnt on the list. So does that mean I wont be able to use all the in app features with the motion time lapse, record, etc? Will DJI be putting out firmware to work with more cameras?

A: Correct. We are currently working on expanding our compatibility list and more cameras will be added via firmware updates and cables in the near future.

Q: 9. Does the Ronin S works with Canon 6D?

A: You will be able to balance and shoot with the Canon 6D and 6D Mark II on the Ronin-S. However the original 6D is not on DJI's compatibility list regarding electronic functionality. https://bit.ly/2S6yT9s

Q: 10. I have a nikon z7 with nikor z 24 70 f2.8, and ftz adapter with nikon f mount prime lenses in 35 50 85 and 105 mm will it work fine for me?

A: The Ronin-S has an 8 pound load capacity and can handle a camera the size of the Z7. It should balance these various lenses fine.
