A: Enough stabilization for what? Shoot on a tripod and you're golden! But if you're asking if it will for video, yes if you know what you're doing. Press your left hand on the underside of the lens, right hand on the trigger side, elbows tucked in against your body, and your eye against the view finder. This position will do more then a lens with IS built into it. Unless you have Parkensons desease then no you should get the L series for the built in IS.

In contrast, while the Sigma 18-35 f/1.8 is an incredible lens, it's price point, higher coma, narrower field of view (also due to its APS-C format) make it circumstantially less well-reviewed in these endeavors.
