A: According to Glide Gear: The Glide Gear Gimbal Halo allows you to attach any single arm gimbal with a 1/4 20 mounting screw. It increases stability with 2 hand use, reduces arm fatigue and allows the ability to attach accessories. Since the Zhiyun-Tech Cranes have a 1/4 mount in the base their handle you are good to go.

A: The Glide Gear LayLow Mounting Plate has mounting options for both the standard 1/4"-20 male tripod thread and the larger 3/8"-16 female tripod sockets used on the base of ball heads. As such, yes, you may connect a ball head to the Glide Gear LayLow Mounting Plate.

Q: 5. will this accommodate a 3/4" wide case?

A: Tablet mounts adapter are not recommend to be used with cases, but this mount does support tablets with a 3 to 9" wide dimension. If a tablet with a case still fits these dimensions, it should be compatible.
