The LTM Cyan Pepper Pak Kit gives you an efficient, compact lighting setup: two 100W Pepper lights and two 420W Pepper lights plus scrims and barndoors to control the intensity and spread of the light. An extremely small Fresnel light, the Pepper 100 can easily be placed in tight spaces and used as an accent, eye, or kicker light; this unit utilizes a 100W or 200W lamp. It has a 1 15/16" (4.9 cm) flat Fresnel made of Pyrex glass.

A smooth and even field of light characterizes the Pepper 420 with its lens of 3 1/8" (7.9 cm). Using a 420W lamp, this unit is the workhorse of the miniature line of Pepper lights. It has the added advantage of being able to run on voltages of 12, 24, 30 and 120V.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I'm trying to find a part for my Pepper 420. Any idea where I can go? Do you all offer them?

A: B&H does not sell replacement parts for this light. The manufacturer's phone number is 800-762-4291 or 818-780-9828

Q: 2. Is it possible to purchase just the fresnel lens for this light??

A: B&H does not have replacement lenses for the LTM Fresnel lights.

Q: 3. Will that cartridge be compatible with HP Officejet L7590?

A: Yes, the HP 88 Magenta Ink Cartridge for Hewlett-Packard OfficeJet Pro K550 Printer B&H # HEMCK550 is compatible with the HP Officejet L7590.

Q: 4. If the included frost filter yields a 45 degree beam angle, can a different frost filter provide another angle?

A: Different diffusion would have different beam angles.

Q: 5. Is it difficult to find replacement bulbs for the LTM Pepper 100W lamp?

A: There are many lamp options for the LTM Pepper 100 Watt Fresnel Tungsten Light This is some links for them. https://bhpho.to/3bb3b2t https://bhpho.to/3djBbMX https://bhpho.to/2Zo6Swk

Q: 6. Is this the right cartridge for the XP-340 printer?

A: The XP-340 uses cartridge number 288.

Q: 7. what is the cartridge capacity on these?

A: The cyan 200 is a standard capacity cartridge. Epson provides some specifications on cartridge performance at their website, cartridgeinfo. How long they last and how many prints you can get depends on what type of printing you are doing. If you are printing 8.5 x 11 full color photo quality photo prints, where the entire paper surface is printed, the cartridge might need replacement after only 10 or 15 photos. If you print only Word docs or web pages on a draft setting, the cartridge will last for probably 80 pages at least. If you print very seldom, you will not get as many prints because the heads will need cleaning and that uses ink. Hope this helps.

Q: 8. Can these be wall mounted and do they come in white? Looking to use in small church, will be appox.. 20ft from chancel. 15ft high.

A: You could use a wall plate and an TVMP to mount them to a wall. Currently we only have them in black.

Q: 9. Are these lights dimmable with a separate dimmer?

A: Yes, these lights are dimmable with a separate inline dimmer and switch, but make sure you use a good dimmer to get the best dimming. There are a couple $40-$100 that are pretty great.

Q: 10. Do I need the extension cord to attach to an outlet?

A: This fixture comes with an Edison cable attached to it. An extension cable would only be needed if the built in cable cannot reach your outlet.

Great little light. Have been using them for years. They're work horses and last a lifetime. Worth every single penny.

I bought this to get the ability to focus and control spot size. I then had to order a couple of these little Pepper lights. I got one with barn doors and the other Pepper will have this Focal Spot attachment. Although the adjusting blades assembly is a bit awkward to adjust and use; once you get the right tensioning, you can slide each one in and out, without affecting the position of the other three. I found that by removing one of these four adjustment blades, I could then insert a piece of heavy cardboard. By cutting out various shapes on these cardboard inserts, I could in effect come up with a sharply focused image-spot. For my application, that's more useful than the adjustable square/rectangle shapes you can obtain with the sliding blades. I do wish the way the front lens assembly slides in and out could be a bit smoother. The little locking screw that holds the lens in, has to be loosened each time you want to change the focus. That does get a bit problematic when the light has been on for a while. This whole assembly gets really hot. Think I'll invest in a pair of oven mits! Other than that, this is a keeper considering the price.

I bought this kit in 1995 and have used it well all these years. I've set it up thousands of times in over twenty years. Had to replace a few parts which are still available. The only problem I've had is when a airport put it through a huge scanner and threw it twelve feet into a rubber bumper. It dislodged most of the filaments but quick order took care of that. Oh and by the way... If you develop a nice scrim - gel kit and add a chimera you'll be set. A lowel dp fits in the same case. That's the beauty of this system. Great quality and truly built to last.

For the money, the LTM Pepper lights are the best bang for the buck. I know that they are mostly used for video and television, but I use them for still photography. In the '50's, there was a genre of Hollywood movie star portrait that used a very hard light. The result was a dramatic portrait. The focusing spotlight (fresnel) is used in stage lighting as well as movies. The build quality on Pepper lights is very good. I travel a lot and their compact size is such that i can fit them in my suitcase.
