Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What is the diameter of the tripod head base on this?

A: 41 mm

Q: 2. Are you able to adjust the height of this tripod?

A: Yes, but only by moving the flexible legs farther apart. There is no strictly vertical adjustment.

Q: 3. Will the built-in ball head work with a Sony RX100 VA?

A: yes

Q: 4. will it work with an Olympus OMD EM1II?

A: The JOBY GorillaPod 3K Flexible Mini-Tripod with Ball Head Kit is rated to support more than 6 pounds. Most of the time an Olympus camera and pro level lens would weigh 3-4 pounds.

Q: 5. Can this tripod hold the weight of a Panasonic GH4?

A: 100%. I use it for my d7000 with a really heavy lens a lot. I think a GH4 would be no problem at all.

Q: 6. Will the Peak Design Dual Plate v2 work on this ball head?

A: Yes, as the Peak Design Dual Plate v2 for Capture Camera Clip is Arca-Type compatible, and as the ball head on the Joby GorillaPod 5K Flexible Mini-Tripod is also Arca-compatible, you may use the Peak Design Dual Plate v2 on the Joby GorillaPod 5K Flexible Mini-Tripod.

Q: 7. Does this hold a Rebel T6 camera with a 75 - 300mm lens?

A: The JOBY GorillaPod 5K Flexible Mini-Tripod with Ball Head Kit is rated to support up to 11 pounds so it will support the Canon T5 with a 75-300mm lens.

Q: 8. Looking to buy a first hiking tripod (budget 100$ or less), and trying to understand : would this be a better buy if winds are a problem? (I am assuming that I won't have a problem to find suitable sites to place/attach this tripod). Would I be better off with this than full- or medium-sized tripods at 100$ or less. I use a compact fixed lens mirrorless camera, so weight of camera is not an issue. Thanks

A: Wind would not be a problem with the Joby Gorilla Pod because even if you could not attach it to anything, it would be quite low to the ground so wind could not easily get underneath the tripod or camera.

Q: 9. Can I put a small Leitz ballhead on this and still tilt vertically?

A: Yes, you can put a Leitz ball head on this, just make sure the head has a 1/4-20" female thread on the bottom and if not you will need to get a reducing bushing if it is 3/8." Make sure you don't exceed 6 lbs with the head and camera. Using the head vertically on this pod is not advisable, it will most likely be too top heavy and fall over.

Q: 10. Can I attach my Litra Torch 2.0 to this without an adaptor?

A: Yes, you can attach the Litra Torch to the JOBY GorillaPod 325 Flexible Mini-Tripod with the 1/4"-20 screw hole on the Torch.

It does what it is suppose to for a lesser cost than others like it.

I find this has made finding filters much easier. I shop around before choosing the lowest price for a filter, this has opened my options more. I will occasionally have trouble taking the filters off. Other than this, I think this product's worth it.

Very thin so lightweight and out of the way but solidly built.

The step-up rings are very handy, as they allow you to buy one set of filters, and use them on all of your lenses, regardless of their filter size. Seems well made and sturdy.

Most of my pro lenses are 77mm in objective lens diameter. I have also quite a few that have 62mm as their filter size my filters Are mostly 77mm and they now fit the smaller diameter lenses. I use step down adapters quite a lot and then stick with a 77mm filter collection.

Purchased for use of a 77mm polarizer on the Fuji 55-200 lens. Lighter weight threads so you just have to be careful when using.
