Straddling the fine line between compact and full-sized, the black Celestron 8x32 TrailSeeker Binoculars are designed for power, performance, and portability. The phase-corrected, dielectric-coated BAK roof prisms and broadband anti-reflection fully multicoated optics work together to help boost their light-gathering abilities and push the limits of their use as light fades while delivering bright and clear high-contrast views with true-to-life color across their wide field of view. If the weather takes a turn, have no fear—the magnesium chassis is nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed to be dust, water, and fogproof, so they'll shake off a tumble into a puddle better than you.

Q: 8. i want binoculars to see the evening sky. what do the numbers 25x70, 20x80, 25x100, etc, describe? thanks

A: The first number is the magnification factor. The higher the number, the lower the field of view. The lower the number, the wider the field of view. The second number is the diameter of the lens. The bigger the number, the more light is let in. The minimum recommended size for night sky watching is 10x50. If the target object is faint, then 15x70 or higher binoculars are nice to have.
