I did have to buy some small files and file down a VERY small amount of metal at a time until I got the perfect fit from the bottom of each of the ears on the adapter NOT the Camara or lens. As it was super hard to screw on. I never continued to install the adapter once it got hard. Once I finished filling down the black paint it installed like if it was a Samsung product.
