The Cable Techniques LPX-RS-12R is a thin lightweight cable perfect for interconnecting with field gear like Lectrosonics, Sound Devices, Zaxcom, Zoom, and many others. Built for the rigors of indoor/outdoor location work, it features black shells, gold pins, and an extremely flexible crush-resistant, tear-resistant, and cold-resistant PUR Polyurethane jacket that's only 3.2mm in diameter.

The 12" cable is terminated with a low-profile right-angle XLR-3 female connector (with a red cap) at one end and a straight XLR-3 male connector (with a red ring) at the other.

Low-profile connectors considerably reduce the weight of your rig and allow for beautifully organized setups. They can be disassembled and repaired on the fly. You can adjust the low-profile XLR cable outlet orientation to either 3 or 9 o'clock. The cable is assembled in the USA.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will the DMW-XLR1 XLR Microphone Adapter work with the G85, since it's electronic hot shoe architecture is the same as that of the GH5

A: Sorry, Panasonic designed this to only work on the GH5.

Q: 2. Can the unit boost the signal? Ive got a Beachtek pre-amp but it only has one XLR input.

A: Yes this unit can boost the signal very nicely . It a great unit have had many Beachtek pre amps and this Panasonic one beats them all .

Q: 3. will this work with GH4 ?

A: According to GH5 Ambassador Griffin Hammond, it will only work with the GH5, not the GH4 or GH3.

Q: 4. Apologies if I'm overlooking it, but the specs say nothing about monitoring and I don't see a headphone jack in any of the photos. How do you hear what your microphones are recording through this? Do you monitor through the GH5?

A: The sound is monitored using the GH5's built in headphone port.

Q: 5. I dont have room to put this device on the top of the camera, is there a cable to extend the hot shoe port to this device?

A: There is no accessory for moving the Panasonic DMW-XLR2 XLR Microphone Adapter off a camera.

Q: 6. Would this work with Leica SL2 since it works well with S1 series cameras ?

A: No, this Panasonic DMW-XLR1 XLR Microphone Adapter would not work with s1 series cameras.

Q: 7. Any chance this is compatible with Canon EOS R5?

A: Unfortunately not. This item only work with select Panasonic cameras.

Q: 8. Will the DMW-XLR1 work with the new Panasonic S1?

A: The DMW-XLR1 does work on the Panasonic S1.

Q: 9. Does Zoom make this in 32bit float wide dynamic range for Panasonic Lumix? (like an F3, but sync'd with no cables).

A: No, Zoom does not offer any XLR adapters for cameras and there are no XLR adapters that we are aware of that have the ability to record audio directly, the XLR adapters are simply used to provide an XLR connection for a camera that does not have XLR inputs. The resolution for recording audio is determined by the capabilities of the camera or a recorder. A recorder like the Zoom F3 Portable Field Recorder does have the ability to record audio at 32-bit, but it does not have the ability to connect to the camera without using cables and the audio recorded by the camera would be limited to the capabilities of the camera. So the F3 would be able to record 32-bit float but it would be recorded to an SD card. Unless the camera is capable of recording 32-bit float audio, the audio from the recorder would not be transferred at the same resolution to the camera, even if it were connected using a cable or cable-free connection. However, you can utilize the timecode functions on the F3 and a compatible camera to accurately sync audio and video in post production using timecode.

Q: 10. Does this record 2 channels of audio into the gh5? 1, being line One. 2, being line Two. Rather than baking both mics into a single track, so that way I can have better mixing control in editing.

A: Yes it records two separate channels . I used it yesterday for the first time, recording a wireless mic on channel 1 and a shotgun mic on channel two. I had flawless perfect audio.
