Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is this the T-Mount I would need to connect a Canon EOS RP to a Celestron T-Adapter #93644?

A: Opticron T-Mount for Canon EOS M Cameras is for M cameras like the Canon M50. For the Canon RP you need this RF adapter. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1494990-REG/vivitar_hf_t2_eos_r_t_mount_to_canon_rf_mount.html

Q: 2. Could this work with my Canon 6D, Panasonic GH4, or Sony A7sII on a Ronin M?

A: I recently purchased the DJI Follow Focus for use on a Ronin-M with Sony A7Sii. The camera is too 'small' with an attached 24-70mm lens and the camera has to be mounted as far as possible on the baseplate in order for the lens' focus ring to reach the follow focus motor. This makes the rig too front heavy without a way to properly balance it (without piecemealing a solution). I have yet to find a solution.

Q: 3. Just to re-iterate a question that I don't think was properly answered regarding the finger wheel - will DJI be releasing something like the fingerwheel controller that Redrock Micro has for their remote FF system? something small that can be attached to a gimbal handle or the like to allow solo operators ability to focus.

A: At the moment DJI has made no announcement for any smaller finger control or handle mounted control addition. However this can change, it is suggested to sign up for the B&H newsletter so you can learn about any new changes and products.

Q: 4. Does this integrate with the Ronin 2’s controller?

A: While the DJI Focus can work independently with the Ronin 2, we are not finding any support that it integrates with the Ronin 2 controller.

Q: 5. Can you change the ratio of the focus wheel, to the focus motor? I am thinking photo lens with short focus through can be hard to get precision focus with a 1:1 wheel

A: Yes you can there are two ways one is manual the other way is to change the setting of the brain or change the position sensor setting you can have multiple focus points that will enable to different ratios

Q: 6. I would like a more complete description of the cordura case, for example, does it have a belt loop and zipper, etc?

A: The Leica binocs I bought in December were a gift. We did not include a case. We have the same ones that we have had for many, many years ago and have never used a case. We wrap them in our clothes when we travel. Otherwise they are around our necks for instant use. Sorry I could not help you with the case.

Q: 7. A lot of people seemed to experience motor burn out problems....is it safe to use a generic 14v V-lock or similar (MoVi d-tap etc) using the supplied cable or is that only for Ronin use...if so what cable should one buy? Thanks!

A: D-tap is a universal plug so you shouldnt have a problem with a movi

Q: 8. Will the remote work for different brand's motors?

A: PDAI P, no. The DJI Focus is only compatible with DJI Focus motors, DJI aircraft, and the Osmo series of handheld gimbals

Q: 9. How long will the DJI rechargeable battery last for?

A: The battery in the Focus lasts up to 14 hours on a single charge.

Q: 10. Will this attach a M50 canon to a telescope?

A: Yes but that item is discontinued, I would recommend the Fotodiox adapter and you may need a camera adapter if you don't already have one. Click the link below to view; https://bhpho.to/2MUIugX
