Crafted from NK-7 resin with a watertight seal, the case provides Mil-Spec-rated damage resistance and IP67-rated water and dust resistance. Nanuk's PowerClaw latches securely close the case and further assist in sealing it from the elements.

This built-in valve guards against the vacuum caused by changes in altitude and geographic location that tend to seal watertight cases shut. The pressure valve equalizes atmospheric pressure using micro vents which allow air to pass through while preventing water from getting inside.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can the Canon T3i with Canon lens EF 75-300mm f/4.0-5.6 & lens EF-S 10-18mm f/4.5-5.6 be used on the Ronin-S?

A: The longest telephoto lens that DJI has tested to work with a Canon camera on the Ronin-S is 85mm, the 75-300mm may not balance properly. However the 10-18mm should balance fine with the T3i on a Ronin-S.

Q: 2. Any word on batteries inside? I am hoping they are removable and not a built in rechargeable type.

A: We are still waiting on information for this product, as the final details have not been released by DJI. However we believe it will have a detachable and changeable battery system.

Q: 3. Can I use it for my Canon 1DXii

A: Yes, the Ronin-S is fully compatible with the Canon EOS-1DX Mark II.

Q: 4. I checked the compatibility list and it doesn't mention Canon 80D and Sigma 18-35mm, so does that mean it won't be compatible with my camera? :

A: The weight of the 80D and Sigma 18-35 is way under capacity of the Ronin-S so you will be able to use it with this setup, just maybe not all of the features such the focus wheel.

Q: 5. the carry case isnt styrofaom is it??

A: Yes it is. The case it comes with is Styrofoam.

Q: 6. Does the unit have a zoom function? Or is it manual zoom on the lens itself? (I understand I can move forward and back to get closer to my subject, but most of my shots are in a large space. Zoom functionality is helpful on occasion.)

A: Just autofocus. You would hav to control zoom on camera or potential program zoom to adjust on the toggle.

Q: 7. Work with new Balckmagic Pocket Cinema camera 4k?

A: Hey Benjamin, while more testing needs to be done, we have been getting reports of perfect functionality with the BM Pocket on Ronin-S. Stay tuned for updates on this compatibility.

Q: 8. Which controls (start/stop recording, follow focus etc.) would be available in a RoninS/BMPCC 4K/PanaLeica 12-60mm combination? Is it correct that Olympus m43 lenses are not supported at all?

A: We are not aware of any controls that will work when using the soon to be released BMPCC 4K on the Ronin-S.

Q: 9. Can I control the focus on a Nikon D850?

A: According to DJI the pull focus feature will work with the D850 and compatible lenses, after a future firmware upgrade to the Ronin-S. That feature is not available currently, but will be in the future.

Q: 10. Can Ronin SC be used with Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX100?

A: Weight wise, it will be fine, but in terms of using additional functions, we would recommend taking a look at the compatibility chart offered on the DJI site: https://bit.ly/37eaS7y
