Kodak Professional Ektar 100 is a daylight-balanced color negative film characterized by an ultra-vivid color palette, high saturation, and an extremely fine grain structure. Utilizing the cinematic VISION Film technology, this film's smooth grain profile pairs with a micro-structure optimized T-GRAIN emulsion to make it especially well-suited to scanning applications, and advanced development accelerators offer extended versatility when making enlargements. Ektar has a nominal sensitivity of ISO 100/21°. Advanced cubic emulsions and proprietary DIR couplers render it with high sharpness, fine detail, and a well-defined edge quality. The combination of rich colors, fine grain, and optimized sharpness benefit this film's use for nature, travel, and outdoor photography, as well as fashion, product, and other commercial applications.

This item is one roll of 828-format film.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. is there a reciprocity factor with this film due to long exposures?

A: I haven't noticed anything significant out to 30 seconds. I use it a lot for city night photography where exposures are around 4-16 seconds with great results. I'm not doing anything too technical though.

Q: 2. Does this have a paper back? I know original 828 film did...I just want to make sure I can load it into my pony 828 in the light.

A: Yes. The following unit is based on paper back.

Q: 3. Can I unspool and load in 126 cartridges?

A: Because 126 film is smaller than 828, you cannot respool the 828 film into a 126 cartridge.

Q: 4. My Kodak Batnam has a viewing window to see which number film I am on. Does this roll of film havesuch numbers to view?

A: According to the manufacturer, yes, the backing paper for all FFC 828 film is numbered to original Kodak specifications. The numbers can be seen in the window on the back of the camera. So you can use the Film for Classics Professional Tri-X 400 Black and White Negative Film (828 Roll Film) in the Kodak Bantam camera.

Q: 5. I have an old Kodak bantam f/ 4.5. will this film work for that?

A: Yes, the Kodak Bantam f/ 4.5 accepts 828 film like the Film for Classics Professional Tri-X 400 Black and White Negative Film (828 Roll Film).

Q: 6. How many pictures per roll?

A: It depends on your camera and what size frame it shoots. The most common sizes for 120 film are 6x7cm, 6x6cm and 6x4.5cm. If your camera shoots a 6x7 frame (like a Mamiya RB67 or Pentax 67) you will get 10 photos. A 6x6 camera (like a Hasselblad 500 CM or most twin lens cameras) would give you 12. A 6x4.5 camera (like a Mamiya 645 or a Hasselblad H1) would give you 16.

Q: 7. what type of camera can be used for this film?

A: Its 35mm film. Its for 35mm cameras.

Q: 8. what it the film format and the length ?

A: This roll is the 828 format.

Q: 9. I have a brownie Target six 16 will this film fit that camera? I would really like to try out this old camera!

A: I'm sorry, no, the Six 16 takes 616 film.

Q: 10. I just got a roll of this for an Old Kodak tourist camera. It comes so wrapped up. Do I have to load the camera with the film in the dark?

A: It is recommended to load this film in as dark as possible of a location as possible. You will definitely want to avoid direct sunlight.

Run this through an old AGFA Record III for landscapes. It digitizes brilliantly, I print at 18x24 and never have a concern about grain. Colors are dead on, no fixing white balance, and detail is fabulous.

Just put through 30 Rolls for vertical aerial photography with trusty old Hasselbald 500 ELM - Great results - scanned at 3200 dpi - finest of grain - awesome color saturation - and flexible exposure range -- This is Kodak's best emulsion yet for this application - pity it does not come in 220 size -- I will be putting off going digital for supplementary aerial photography for a while yet.!! Love it.

Just what the Dr ordered! I actually prefer Portra 160 as I see very little grain difference but slightly prefer the colours. To be honest, I happily use either and PP gives me my final look.
