Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is it possible to hook up two units to be fed by a single source?

A: This is a Tablet Teleprompter System, which means you would need a way to send the same signal to two tablets which is not something we are aware of at this time. A Teleprompter that works with a computer would be a better choice as you can use a splitter to send the feed from your computer to the two different prompters. Q: 2. I want to use this in a live sports environment with a Hitachi HDZ5000 camera. I'd like to mount the prompter on it's own tripod and move the Hitachi camera in behind the hood during pregame or at half time, and then back out to cover the game. Has anyone used it as a stand alone unit? Do you forsee any problems with this plan?

A: Sounds like a plan to us. We would think if you mounted this on a light stand, i.e. a support with one pole, that should pose no issue as far as saddling up with a video tripod on a dolly. If you use a tripod for the prompter, you may or may not have issues with getting the camera tripod close enough.

Q: 3. is there a limit to which canon L series lenses you can use with this? i would either use 16-35 or 24-105

A: Thanks for your question So far, I have used three of my lenses and the only limitation I have experienced is, my ability to read the text on my iPad. Otherwise the split-screen mirror works extremely well.

Q: 4. What's the widest lens you can use with this before seeing the edges of the teleprompter?

A: Ideal focal length for the ikan PT-ELITE-Pro Teleprompter is 20mm to avoid vignette issues.

Q: 5. Is there a case that comes with this teleprompter? Or one you can purchase separately?

A: Cory we have a case available here: a href= http://ikancorp.com/productdetail.php?id=2300&model=pt-case-elite target= _blank http://ikancorp.com/productdetail.php?id=2300&model=pt-case-elite/a

Q: 6. How big/heavy of a camera could you use this with? I'd like to use it with a fully kitted out Canon C500, but I'd be nervous that the quick release mount could handle that kind of weight.

A: I just did a shoot with this prompter and a Sony EX3 (which was replaced by the 300K1). Those are not full body cameras, but standard ENG-style sized. As with any prompter, the other real concern is if your tripod can handle the total weight. You don't want your legs collapsing on you and having gravity ruin your day.

Q: 7. Has anyone tested the prompter pro with a camera as large as the Canon XF305?

A: We haven't had anyone in-house use this combination, but based on the dimensions online, it should work.

Q: 8. will this work with ipad pro 9.7 ?

A: yes it is adjustable to large and smaller iPads

Q: 9. Does this fit the 12.9" ipad pro?

A: Yes it does. This teleprompter works with tablets between 6 x 9 to 9 x 12 inches in size. An iPad Pro 12.9" has dimensions of 8.5 x 11 inches.

Q: 10. Are the edges of the prompter (sticking parts that hold the tablet) seen when zoomed out? I often have to shoot wide (i.e. folks demonstrating something; 2-person testimonials, etc.), and my previous prompter would show the edges when zoomed out. I use a Soxy X70 camera.

A: This depends on how wide you go. The only thing you will see if you go super wide is the edge of the glass frame. You will not see anything having to do with the tablet or its holder.
