This 77mm Variable ND Lens Filter Plus+ from Urth provides an increase in neutral density through a range from 3 to 7-stops. Increasing neutral density offers finer control in available shutter speeds or aperture settings for both still and video applications. Using a longer shutter speed makes it possible to increase blur to convey a sense of movement, or to dial in a video camera frame rate. Increased density also makes it possible to shoot using wider lens apertures, helping to isolate a subject from the background. This level of image control can help to create more cinematic effects in low to bright light.

The filter is made from Schott B270 optical glass that features 20 layers of multicoating for reduced lens glare, providing a more consistent transmission curve and optimal light transmission. It also features nano coating on each optical surface that resists water, oil, dust, fingerprints, and scratches, making it ideal for use in harsh environments, and also easy to clean. The rotating aluminum filter ring has a density scale for repeatable results, and a slim design for use with wide-angles lenses without vignetting.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can I remove camera bracket out like Manfrotto_244 ?

A: Yes but not easily. The screw is threadlocked on and once you remove it, it will no longer be a secure hold. You're better off buying the regular 244N of you don't want a bracket, or getting a 244 which comes with the removable bracket, not a quick release.

Q: 2. What accessories would we need to enlarge 6x6 film to 50x50" paper hanging on the wall?... lenses, filters, film holders, etc. But also to 20x16" on the table.

A: The Beseler 67XL-VC-W would already have built in variable contrast filters to use with variable contrast papers. A suitable negative carrier would be the Beseler 6x6cm Glasssless Negative Carrier, BH # BENC6667. As for the lens, you would also need a lens board and a retaining ring. A lens such as the Rodenstock 75mm f/4.5 Rogonar-S Enlarging Lens, BH # RO7545RS combined with the Beseler Lensboard for Printmaker 35/67 Enlargers, BH # BELB39PM67 and the Beseler 39mm Threaded Lock Ring, BH # BEJN would be great to use. You would need to mount the enlarger to wall if printing to 50 x 50" paper. https://bhpho.to/3OKHWXo https://bhpho.to/3a1WlQk https://bhpho.to/3QWaQpt https://bhpho.to/3y0SvyN

Q: 3. Will this attach to the Ulanzi U-grip pro?

A: Yes 100%. Via hotshoe holder.

Q: 4. Will this fit the Tokina 16-28/F2.8?

A: No it will not. The Tokina 16-28mm f2.8 lens has the hood built into it, there is not any means of attaching another hood or other filters etc to the front of that lens.

Q: 5. Do you have an EU-standard inlet version which runs with 240V AC?

A: Unfortunately, this enlarger does not come in a version that can be used in 240VAC.

Q: 6. what is its CRI? 90?

A: color rendering index (CRI)In general terms, CRI is a measure of a light source's ability to show object colors realistically or naturally compared to a familiar reference source, either incandescent light or daylight.CRI is calculated from the differences in the chromaticities of eight CIE standard color samples (CIE 1995) when illuminated by a light source and by a reference illuminant of the same correlated color temperature (CCT); the smaller the average difference in chromaticities, the higher the CRI. A CRI of 100 represents the maximum value. Lower CRI values indicate that some colors may appear unnatural when illuminated by the lamp. Incandescent lamps have a CRI above 95. Cool white fluorescent lamps have a CRI of 62, however fluorescent lamps containing rare-earth phosphors are available with CRI values of 80 and above.

Q: 7. This Enlarger Beseler 67XL VC-W is Multigrade enlargers? i have to apply filters to contrats for contrast?.

A: This particular enlarger would offer contrast adjustment built into the head, therefore external contrast filters are not needed.

Q: 8. Can be delivered in Romania with the power supply system adapted for Europe (230Vcc)?

A: This is the only 230V version of the Beseler 67 enlarger at B&H: BE67XLCCELC

Q: 9. Will this work with Canon T2i SLR?

A: Yes - this light will slide right into the camera's hot shoe.

Q: 10. I read that the battery is hard to charge/install, and that the charger is not well built. What have been your experiences? Is this a good value? To be used on a DSLR and with an amateur video camera

A: I've used it for a couple of years now, there is a little lock button to snap the battery into the unit that is very easy to use and securely locks it in. The charger works just fine, and includes a 12v lighter adapter for charging in your car. The power switch and dimmer knob are incorporated. I would have preferred the on switch to be separate, it is easy to accidentally turn the unit on when stuffing it back into your camera pack.

Don't bother with the knockoffs. None of them are as good as the Nikon originals. I always keep at least one extra as a spare in my bag. I even have a friend who shoots Canon and he replaces his factory original caps with these. They're easy to secure and they hold fast.

Worth getting the Nikon cap. Others are flimsy.

Best my local camera store by nearly 50%, and a Nikon lens cap is a Nikon lens cap, regardless of where it comes from. After 7 years, lost original lens cap. When I ordered the replacement, I order two. Shipping was prompt.

There are none better on the market. It's especially handy to have on the lens in combination with a lens hood, since they are so easily inserted and removed.
