Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How man shutter actuations?

A: This is a listing for a new Nikon D780 with zero shutter actuations. In some cases, we may have used ones of varying conditions. However, because our Q&A section persists even after a used item is sold, we do not list temporary/non-persistent information on our new-item product listings. Please contact our used department via phone or live-chat and we can quickly get you information on the condition on our used inventory.

Q: 2. Do this UHD6G-200 AIDA camera have built in IR filter or do it need IR corrected lenses to film in daylight?

A: This camera is listed as being ready to use inside/out/day/night without need for additional filtering.

Q: 3. Does the d780 have GPS for location stamping?

A: The D780 does not have built in gps. You can use the gp-1 or gp-1a for gps data.

Q: 4. What would I gain by upgrading from the D750 to the D780?

A: Going with the D780 will provide you with a faster processor, faster continuous shooting, a brighter LCD screen and USB 3.2 connectivity over the D750.

Q: 5. Does the D780 have illuminated control buttons like the D850? No reviews I've ready even mention if it does or not.

A: The D780 does not have illuminated control buttons.

Q: 6. Are the line and mic inputs on the side functional? Seems like the spec sheet only lists the I/O cable for audio in.

A: The breakout cable includes a 3.5mm Audio input that can be configured as either a Mic level or Line level input via the camera's menu.

Q: 7. will the D780 work with the older SB-400 Speedlight?

A: Yes.

Q: 9. Could not find this info anywhere. Can D780 capture video in 10 bit color depth while internally recording in camera SD card?

A: The Nikon D780 DSLR Camera records only 8 bit video to the internal SD memory card.

Q: 10. Can the D780 extract a still from video shot on that camera?

A: That will be possible, once you bring the footage in to an editing system. From there you will be able to create a still image from the video file.

No matter of feature list and hardware set, R6 is the best released product from Canon in 2020. Recommend serious photographer consider R6.

I'm a novice, so don't take my word as gospel lol. I'm enjoying the camera so far, and I hope it lasts me the next several years as I learn photography and expand my lense collection.

I enjoy the quick auto focus, and the dual memory card slots give me a lot of peace of mind.

This camera has made me fall in love with photography like never before. Granted, I upgraded to this from a Nikon D3400, so it’s a huge step up, but it feels like turning in my clean 1997 Geo Metro for a brand new Tesla. It’s truly a dream, and not only are the photos great and the video tasty - actually, the video is mind blowing - but I feel like I’ve learned and customized my menus already. It’s truly a dream, and I’ve even named mine: Cameron.

I've had experience with mirrorless cameras- I own an Olympus OM-D E-M5II, and had a Canon EOS M50 which I sold just as this was announced. Never really felt the digital viewfinder was the equal of a DSLR- until now. This feels like a DSLR- only smaller- and without any real restrictions.
Have not had a chance to really test the in body stabilization yet. Only gripe is the 30 minute recording limit- c'mon Canon- this is insane- why have 2 card slots if you are going to do this.
Bought the 24-105 L despite having 2 of the full size ones- because it's always cheaper in the package. The size savings are amazing. Also love that it has a lock on it. Super sharp.
I'll be buying the battery grip- although, hopefully an aftermarket one, since the Canon one is crazy expensive (and was backordered). I've had good luck with the BH Vello brand grips on my Canon 7DMKII (which I also sold).
Every still I've taken- just felt wonderful. The Canon controls match what I'm used to - and the touch screen is insanely useful like on my 6D MK II (which I'm keeping).
Waiting for the replacement to the C100MKII to have the same feature set as camera- and I'll be in heaven.
As you can guess, I've had a lot of cameras. This has been my absolute favorite so far.

Great camera. It does shutdown and limit recording times though to prevent overheating

I'm just a regular photography enthusiast and this is the first camera I've ever bought on my own. I've always just used my phone or my parents' point and shoot to take photos. Everyone told me I have a keen eye and should get a proper camera!
Finally went for this as this is one of the latest in the market and I'm hoping it doesn't get outdated for a few years atleast! :P
I've had this camera for a week or so and have taken some good shots with it and received good appreciation, so I'd say this was well worth the investment.
It was super easy to set-up after watching some Youtube videos. The AF and MF is so brilliant that I hardly have any out of focus shots. All I need to worry about is the composition and the settings, and the camera figures a lot of the salient stuff on its own. I've added a few images I took. And these are by someone who's just used their camera for a week.
Love this camera, it's inspired me get out and take photos!!!
PS: I am not a professional photographer so have limited my review to the experience.
