The 39mm Urth Circular Polarizer Filter cuts reflections, boosts color saturation, and increases contrast by cutting out reflected polarized light. Polarizing filters cut out polarized light, which usually washes out images with silvery reflected light. CPL filters cut out 99.9% of reflected light from water, glass, and nonmetallic surfaces, uncovering bolder colors.

The 39mm CPL filter blocks diffused light from any direction. Simply rotate the outer element of the filter to adjust the level of polarization based on the direction of the light source. CPL filters give you greater creative control when there is excessive reflected light as in outdoor photography and filmmaking. All Urth CPL filters are built with premium quality materials, are guaranteed for life, and come with a protective travel tin case, a recycled cleaning cloth, and recycled plastic-free packaging.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. If I mount this onto a full frame film camera (leica M6) with an adapter - will the image still be circular? Or will it be distorted/warped?

A: Although there are no adapters to mount this EF-M lens to a Leica M6, it would produce a circular image.

Q: 2. Will this product work properly on my Canon 7D Mk I. Also, will it work in a 5D Mk IV?

A: No, this lens is designed to fit and work only on the Canon cropped sensor mirrorless cameras. Like the M6, M6, M50 and M100

Q: 3. What is the diameter of the image circle on this lens?

A: At the edges, which are slightly softened, the diameter would be about 21-22mm. The lens creates a black-bordered image on a FF sensor which is about 24mm high.

Q: 4. Hey so Im trying to take a photo with this lens and i cant even hear the shutter. Why wont it work for my camera.

A: Check if Release shutter w/o lens is enabled.I believe it should be under one of the C.Fn menus.

Q: 5. will this work with a sony alpha 7 III?

A: Yes, this lens will work with the A73, however, it is a cropped sensor lens and will reduce the resolution on your camera by about 40%.

Q: 6. Will this lens produce vignetting on a crop sensor like a 60D?

A: I do think so, because as far as I Know EOS60D is not a full frame but has a conversion factor of 1.6, whereas 8mm lens is a true fish eye leading to a 180field of view. You will then have a reduction of this field of view.

Q: 7. Has anyone used this lens with a SpeedBooster adapter on a Sony APS-C body? I'm wondering if you get the full circular fisheye effect. Since I'm going to move to Sony full-frame eventually, I'd rather buy this than the 4.5mm crop sensor lens.

A: I doubt anyone has done this specific combo before. Though you will get no ill effects from doing so. You will still get a circular fisheye effect from this lens.

Q: 8. Looking for a circular fisheye to gt round images with a cropped sensor Canon 7D. Will this lens accomplish that?

A: Dear Eugene S, Thank you for your interest in Sigma products. The Sigma 8mm DG lens will give you a circular image only on a 24x36mm or Full-Frame format. For a camera with an APS-C size, like your Canon 7D, you need to look at the Sigma 4.5mm F2.8 DC Circular fisheye. : a href= http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/535757-USA/Sigma_486_101_4_5mm_f_2_8_EX_DC.html target= _blank http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/535757-USA/Sigma_486_101_4_5mm_f_2_8_EX_DC.html/a

Q: 9. Will this Sigma 8mm lens with an FTZ adaptor work on a Nikon Z8 in manual focus mode?

A: The Sigma 8mm lens will work with a Nikon Z8 and the FTZ adapter.

Q: 10. is it work with nikon D7100 ?

A: Yes. It has the same mount as the all the D series. F mount.
