The 82mm Circular Polarizing Lens Filter (Plus+) from Urth cuts polarized light to increase contrast and boost color saturation and vibrancy by filtering out reflections from water, sky, glass, and non-metallic surfaces. A polarizing filter is an essential tool for landscape photography, as it saturates a blue sky to make clouds pop and reveals details under the surface of water obscured by glare.

Urth Plus+ filters feature 20 layers of nano-coating to provide easier cleaning and better protection against water, oil, and scratches. The nano-coating layers also provide a higher maximum light transmission and a more consistent transmission curve for sharper images and finer color transmission. This filter is made with Shott B270 optical glass mounted in an ultra-slim, rotating magnalium alloy filter ring. The slim design prevents vignetting when used with wide-angle lenses, while maintaining lightweight durability.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. do i need an adapter? because it fits but my camera doesn’t recognize it

A: It is a manual only lens. It will not communicate with the camera. On some cameras you have to set them to shoot with out a lens before they will fire.

Q: 2. is it compatible with Lumix G7?

A: Yes, this lens is compatible with the G7 and will produce the classic circle on black image associated with fisheyes.

Q: 3. Will this lens produce vignetting on a crop sensor like a 60D?

A: I do think so, because as far as I Know EOS60D is not a full frame but has a conversion factor of 1.6, whereas 8mm lens is a true fish eye leading to a 180field of view. You will then have a reduction of this field of view.

Q: 4. Can this lens be used and focused manually if used on older Nikon film bodies?

A: Yes, this could be used with any Nikon F-Mount body.

Q: 5. For those of you engaged in shooting panoramas of businesses or other interiors, what tripod head would you recommend?

A: The Manfrotto 300N (3414) Panoramic Head is excellent for panoramic photography: http://bhpho.to/1mb07mw

Q: 6. Will this product work properly on my Canon 7D Mk I. Also, will it work in a 5D Mk IV?

A: No, this lens is designed to fit and work only on the Canon cropped sensor mirrorless cameras. Like the M6, M6, M50 and M100

Q: 7. What is the diameter of the image circle on this lens?

A: At the edges, which are slightly softened, the diameter would be about 21-22mm. The lens creates a black-bordered image on a FF sensor which is about 24mm high.

Q: 8. is it work with nikon D7100 ?

A: Yes. It has the same mount as the all the D series. F mount.

Q: 9. Will this work with the SL1?

A: This lens has an EF-M so it will only work on Canon EOS mirrorless bodies such as the EOS M50. The Meike MK-6-11mm f/3.5 Fisheye Lens for Canon EF is compatible with the Canon EOS Rebel SL1 and its EF/EF-S mount. https://bhpho.to/36eSiKy

Q: 10. If I mount this to a full frame film camera (Leica M6) with an adapter - will the image still be circular, or will it be distorted?

A: The image would be more distorted than fully circular, but you will be reducing the effective area used, so it will look more like distortion than a circular look.
