I don't have the 18-300mm but i have tried it on my 70-300mm witch is also 67mm, and it fits as well on that lens even if it does not seem to click or to lock the same way as on my 18-140mm. Considering the price of the original lens hood for the 18-300mm (a rip off) i would take a chance.
